To answer your question specifically:
I am almost 3.5 years out and I occasionally go through McDs for the $1 sausage muffin (it has no egg). I take off whichever side of the muffin is bigger, and eat the rest. I usually throw at least 1/3 of the second half of the bread, too, along with a few last bites of sausage and cheese.
That's my capacity!
Ahhh... I see.
I totally see how you're offended and for that I apologize. My jesting had NOTHING to do with your size and everything to do with combining pickles and yogurt. That's a very common sitcom scenario for pregnant women -- pickles and ice cream or anything sweet, really.
@@volfan - I was 264lbs and 5.3. I would never joke about someone's size. I hope you understand.
Your stomach is a muscle so yes it will stretch. Sent from my SM-G935T using the BariatricPal App
OK.
But I dare say you're wrong. When a sleeve is done correctly, the fundus (the stretchy part) is removed leaving the muscle (the non stretchy part).
But what do I know? I'm almost 3.5 years out and can still only eat 1/2 - 3/4 cup.
I am 3+ years out. I eat 1/2 cup to 1 cup food' max. If you are this concerned about eating in quantity now, this may not be the right option for you.
BTW...Sleeves don't stretch.
Best of luck to you!

BTW...Sleeves don't stretch nor do sleevers have "pouches".
Best of luck to you!

Clearly good natured teasing goes right over your head. No worries, won't happen again!
What a shame. Usually the guys around here are so much fun!
Grumble, gritch, bitch. It's a mere change of seasons. It's happened before and it will happen again.....My grandma would have told you to "Take a little sweater." It was always "a little sweater," never "a sweater." Long after, my version became "Throw another little sweater on the fire."
It's horrible. I hate the cold. Especially now that I'm less 50 lbs of insulation. Currently shopping for a new down comforter since I know I'll need it. Used to sleep with the windows open in the dead of winter.
Trust your own body?
Trusting my own body got me to 264 pounds. The "I'm hungry" and the "I need food" signals were obviously broken or I never would have needed WLS in the first place. That, along with the inability to actually see inside my body to see how the healing is coming along told**ME** that it was a much better idea to trust my surgeon -- the guy I paid big bucks to and entrusted my LIFE to -- more than to trust myself.
But again, that's just me.
I wasn't allowed seeds or nuts for 6-8 weeks and "snacks" were highly discouraged.
I did eat hummus, yogurt, mashed avocado, warmed Peanut Butter, bisque soups', cheese'. I was still on purees' at three weeks. In fact, I'd just started it.
My new "taco salad" recipe is a spoonful each of black beans, corn, avocado, browned ground beef, cheese', and black olives. Top it with a bit of sour cream (or ranch) and enjoy! Not a taco, not a salad', but it's a better substitute, IMO.
