Finally got a call back from the NP and she advised that as long as I do not have a fever, I should be fine. She said to sit my (fat) ass on the couch for the next two days, drink a lot (not alky-hall) and rest. I can take Tylenol cold up through tomorrow afternoon. I sat out in the sun for an hour today and already feel better. Darn rug rats spreading their germs. -

No fever! Just a stuffy nose and head. -
I'm a wee bit obsessive compulsive. I actually pre-track. I put in what I am going to have that day and adjust as I go along.

Superglue. For real. I'm not a doctor but my BFF's husband is. That's how he patches up his three ankle biters when they require stitches of any kind. Our NUT stand the same thing. Would I be freaking out, too? For sure! Would I superglue myself, probably not, but that's what it is. -
Can anyone explain the science behind a taste for certain food changing post op?

Someone asked me about this yesterday and I have no clue. My FIL lost his taste for most foods after throat cancer, but I know that was the chemo. If we are having abdominal surgery, what does that have to do with how food tastes? I can understand how it affects you going down as changing, but the taste itself, not so much. Thanks! -

I was specifically told that it was not. I am/was a Coke Zero "addict" so I know FOR ME that it's best avoided. I stopped cold turkey three weeks ago and I craved one like a sumovabeach yesterday for the first time since cutting it out of my day. I am so glad I didn't give in because I know that would have been a real slippery slope for me, one that I am not willing to risk. -
