Have you ever made chicken breaded in egg wash and then dipped in panko and Parmesan? It will crisp up well and tastes heavenly. I do this with tilapia, too. -

I'm so far from perfect, I can't even pronounce it. That said, I may want something or even nibble something (I hope not!) in sheer desperation, but I will not come here seeking approval for it and then get mad when people disagree with my choice. Big difference right there. I am totally a food addict with no underlying issues to solve. I have no doubt I will screw the goose multiple times, but I will NOT do it while I am healing. I like myself and my kids far too much to do that. -

WWs trick is to get fried chicken, peel off all the fried bits and then enjoy. The chicken doesn't absorb the oil but you will still get a few tasty bits. Before turning into a gremlin... -

Very true. That said, my regular doctor wanted to give me phentermine to solve all my problems, when I know that can cause seizures. No so good in a brain tumor recovery patient. -

There are several currently. I am sitting here exhausted at four days post op just dying to feel normal, but so grateful I am healthy, I came through surgery winningly, and that I am on my way to a healthy weight. I researched this for over a year. I can't imagine risking my health for a bite of nothing right now. I guess I am too happy with my life to be so foolish. -

And if you can't follow instructions a week out, how the HE double hockey sticks are you going to follow them for a lifetime? -

'Surgery' cards... Notices to resturants that you've had bariatric surgery
LipstickLady replied to dansgem's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Kids' menus are so icky and unhealthy for the most part. I plan on ordering from the appetizer menu and the sides or add-ons. If that isn't feasible, I will order my meal boxed, with a plate, and serve myself just the right sized portion, taking home the rest for later. With two kids, we usually take a cooler and ice packs in the car for doggie bags anyways, so... -
Ughhh this is fustrating

No one is yelling at you, they are simply answering your question. If you already knew the right answer for you, why ask? Personally, I can do anything for six weeks if it increases my chance for perfect recovery. Weak, strong, I am in this for the long haul and I'm playing by the rules. I'd gently suggest that you not ask for answers you may not want to hear. Good luck to you! -

I was sleeved same day as you and am having more difficulty getting in my liquids and Protein. It took me two hours to finish one Protein shake today. :faint: Just curious as I am on the same diet process as you... Why are you choosing to move forward so quickly? No judgement, just curious. I'm afraid to damage my healing staple line by not sticking to the plan. -

I usually drive so drinking isn't an issue. I'm no lightweight, but I hear you become one after this process. -

I'm with you, newat52. I am the talker of the group (gasp, imagine that!) and my sorority group of about 12 meets monthly for dinner as does my book club and various work groups. I will be around food and people who don't ave the struggles I do for life. It's up to me to fix my head and make social gatherings doable. I'm ready for the challenge. I have no doubt it will be hard, but I can do anything, right? -

My preop was two weeks. I chose to do it for a month so I could ease out of my fat girl tendencies. -
3 days post op - gummy multi vitamin ok
LipstickLady replied to weigh-in's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
We were told no gummies. They are lacking a certain vitamin and someone like me, with a very small opening will gag. -
I am two weeks liquid, two weeks puree, two weeks soft food.

#hurtslikeamofo I woke up so thirsty that I thought I would treat myself to a glass of room temp Gatorade. It tasted so good that I took a huge gulp and KAPOW!!!! It hasn't come back up, but that would be a relief. You can hear it gurgling in there like a toilet that is backed up with a big old log trying to work it's way down. If I could just burp, I would be in much better shape. How many times is it going to take me to learn this lesson. Even my husband looked over from across the room when he heard me gurgling and asked what the H E DOUBLE HOCKEY STICKS I just did to myself. Poor guy.
