    Discouraged and Embarrassed

I missed the AND SHIRTLESS part. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! That would have turned off anyone from sex for the next few YEARS if that was me on that treadmill. Hell, I guess I could throw these puppies over my shoulders and try it. I have no doubt I would have tripped over the bigger (read that longer) one.
  2. Don't do it. Walk, sip, walk, sip, walk, sip. You really want to stick with doctor's orders. Each surgeon is different and uses different methods. No one knows your body and the trauma it went through as well as she/he does. Call your NUT and ask if you can have cream based Soups watered down with skim milk (they helped me A LOT as I have really no sweet tooth), greek yogurt or pudding cups. (All allowed on my full liquid diet.) Cheerios may go down just fine for you, maybe not. I can tell you that I am three weeks post op now and was cleared for mushies last Friday. Today is the first day I've not vomited at all since starting them. I am pretty positive I pushed it the first day and caused irritation to my tummy and esophagus causing MAJOR pain and nausea for the next few days. Why risk it? If you (God forbid) have a leak or complication, wouldn't you beat yourself up wondering if it was a fooking Cheerio?
  3. Nice! You are actually a medical doctor giving this advice? AWESOME!! Where did you study?

Braless? Guuuurl, that would have been two black eyes for me.
  5. I'm supposed to poo? Oh gawd, I knew I was forgetting something.

My mom is making me want to scream

Maybe they can be BFFs. Mine is the super skinny, never had a weight problem, makes disparaging remarks about fat people in front of me but is blind to the fact that I am one of them types. She is completely out of her gourd and needs someone to listen to her talk and talk and talk and talk and talk and craft with.

You will get there, one sweaty, out of breath step at a time and eventually those steps won't be so rough. You are making such a positive change towards a healthier you and just remember, no matter what, there is always someone better off or worse off than you and the doctors have seen it all. I am so happy for you that you are almost there!!

My mom is making me want to scream

If she's the prize, you can have her. HA! I have made my kids swear to tell me if I turn anything like her as I get older. No ****.
  9. Don't be jealous, trust me. I have to time my morning around Charlie (my sleeve) because it takes me about 35-45 minutes to evacuate everything if need be.

My mom is making me want to scream

I wouldn't let mine take me but I had to let her bring me home. She wanted to stop at the grocery and do a little shopping (for herself, not for me) so that she "wouldn't have to go back out". Please note that she lives less than two miles from the market and I heaved multiple times into a plastic bag during the 25 minute ride home.

My mom is making me want to scream

Oh em gee! We might be the same person. I did the same.
  12. So in other words, a mild version of what I go through?

    Not losing :(

Typo! Can't undo! I am three weeks sleeved with no regrets!

    Not losing :(

Eh, I'm ok. Can't change it, can't undo the sleeve even if I wanted to so.... I love being a female. Gives me the right to b***h all I want.

    4 days out

I am forcing down a premier shake in the am. That's 30g, if I can get a yogurt in, too, that takes me to 40 and then I quit. Good enough, Ma?

    4 days out

My 1st day post op was ok, but I was exhausted as there is no sleep in the hospital. Day 2, I was at home and slept through the day because of the day before. Day 3, SUCKED DONKEY BUTT. Felt like crap, hated laying around. Day 4, see day 3. Day 5, I started Protein shakes (kind of) and resorted back to regular gatorade just to be able to tolerate fluids. MUCH better. I am on day 21 post op and still take my Levsin (anti cramping) and an anti nausea pill every morning and sometimes in the evening. I've kind of moved to mushy foods, but bot really because they don't stay down. That said, I feel so much better. The first 4 or 5 days are the worst and then it's all up from there. You can do this and it will be worth it!
  17. It will all be there when you get home. No worries. Do what you can, get lots of rest and stick to it! Good luck to you.

    Pre-Op Diet questions

That's great! I lost about 20 pounds over a month. I started my pre-op three weeks early and had a few bad days in there, but I am so happy I did it. Believe me, post op, you will marvel at how much of a struggle pre-op was when you can't get hardly anything in post op.
  19. S.O. E.X.C.I.T.I.N.G.!!!!!!! Can't wait to hear back from you. You are going to do great.

    Not losing :(

I had my two week check in last Friday. Since then, I have lost 1.6 pounds even though I have only consumed 1887 calories. How ridiculous is that? That said, I can't undo it, so ONWARD!! NO MATTER WHAT.
  21. I don't know, you look a wee bit purple to me!

    Miso soup

I enjoy Miso Soup just for something different!
  23. That's an awesome pre op diet. Good for you and good luck with your surgery! Exciting times.... Prepare for jealousy to rear it's ugly head. I was on Protein shakes twice a day and one lean protein and veggies for dinner and I thought I had it good.

    Devistated!

Hugs to you. I would be mad/crushed/devastated/pissed/frustrated as hell, but you need to be healthy first. Recovery is rough enough, you don't want to have other issues to add to the mix. Can you talk to your doc about any other possible complications so you can work on those, too? I am so so sorry that you have to go through this.
  25. The smell is awesome. The thought of putting food in my piehole is vomit inducing.
