I'd say you are more right, personally. The only time I have ever had a salesperson treat me badly is at one of the high end boutiques in the area. I have every intention of visiting them as a skinny person and telling them to shove it up their arsticles. I have never been treated poorly anywhere else. I am in the people business though (that's my real paying job), so I enter every situation with a warm greeting for all along with a smile and direct eye contact at all times. I have friends who have poor experiences (fat and thin) at the same shops, but I do believe it's all in their demeanor. When you go out with your head held high like you are the most awesome person in the world, people treat you that way. It's not always easy, and I often have to fake it, but it's always effective.
