Oh gosh, I misread, I was thinking you are three days post op. Dud you call your NUT? I'm too new at this to offer more than hugs.... -
3 wks post-op gaining!
LipstickLady replied to sunkiss713's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yup. Water weight from the fluids at the hospital. -
My chocolate "shake" was a Premier protein shake. My Chipotle was 8 black beans, 1 teaspoon of cheese and MAYBE a tablespoon of barbacoa from my daughter's bowl. My buffalo chicken was 1oz of of shredded rotisserie chicken dipped in wing sauce. My cheese wheel was a babybel light. I have officially hit 47 grams of protein today (highest ever since surgery) and I am so stinking proud of myself. I am 350 calories which is more than more days, too, and it's only 3:15pm. I sent my tummy a calendar and it seems as though it looked at it and said, "HEY!! Let's feast today!!". Now, I should probably get some water in, huh?

Are you getting your fluid in? -
I am one month post op and so far today I've eaten Buffalo Chicken, Chipotle, an entire wheel of cheese and a chocolate shake. Is that OK?

I wonder if I could lace those with Protein powder and call it healthy. -

I am supposed to be on soft foods at this point. Everything I ate was just short of being pureed. Trust me, I can barely eat, so this was a HUGE victory for me. I am nothing, if not careful. You can ask any of the above women that know my journey. My NUT wants me at 64 grams of protein and 600-700 calories along with 64 oz of water. I'm still lacking greatly even with my "feast". I think I'm ok. -

How tall are you? How much do you have to lose? How much did you lose pre-op? -

Have you talked to your NUT or your surgeon? What is your height and weight? How much did you lose pre-op? -

Mine were, too, until I told them about my lack of intake. I got Gatorade permission for two weeks. -
A plateau at 3 weeks out? What gives?
LipstickLady replied to ChefEm624's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I lost/gained 2.7 pounds from my two week post op appointment to my one month appointment yesterday - a span of thirteen days. Today I hopped on the scale to a 2.4 pound weight loss! Stalls are normal, you can't take it back, keep doing what you are supposed to and the scale will figure it out. -

No explanation, but I've heard ketosis and pain meds. -

Everything you described was my first week, too. No worries, you are completely normal. Easy way out, my fat ass. And the rash is normal, too. I am a month out tomorrow and my rash is finally gone. -

BOOO HIIIIISSSSSSS!!! on the ER trip. WOOOOT!!! on the weight loss. Sip, sip, sip and seriously, drink regular gatorade if you can't get the water in. It's helped me tremendously and I'm not getting enough calories anyways, so my NUT approved it. -

I will be a month post op tomorrow and don't eat regular food. Personally, I love my life and my family and friends love me. I don't need to play Russian roulette with my newly sleeved tummy for a few bites of food that won't mean a darned thing to me an hour after (unless I am writhing in pain). I got this surgery to bring myself back down to a healthy weight and I am old enough (and intelligent enough) to follow my doctor's orders. That said, do what you will and enjoy! Pass me a soda and some buffalo wings, please. -
Who me? YES ME!!
-
No, you didn't.

Starting day 3 post op - am I behind schedule?
LipstickLady replied to SueJH's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You are doing better than I do some days and I will be month out tomorrow. My NUT said to worry about fluids first, protein second for the first week or two because you can live off your fuel storage, but you can't live without fluids. Hydrate!!! -
Good for you!!! I am so excited for you as you start this journey. I am only a month out tomorrow, but so far so great!
-
I just ate five canned green beans and I am stuffed. Is that even trackable?

I would never name you after my water-poo. That's reserved for Mr.Lipstick.
