Excessive Tiredness ......Help!
LipstickLady replied to Sleeve Goddess's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I rarely get in more than 35 grams but I have an issue with swallowing still. I am working on that, though! -
Rice @ 10 days post op
LipstickLady replied to lyd83's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Not a good idea. Rice swells in the tummy and that's not a good idea on a new staple line. There are so many yummy things you can add hot sauce to. (I feel ya' there, I love hot!) eggs, refried Beans with a little added Water to loosen them, well cooked spaghetti squash, even add a dash or two to a Soup that you can eat. No rice. Conquer that. -
Excessive Tiredness ......Help!
LipstickLady replied to Sleeve Goddess's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I know this sounds odd, but the more I exercise, the more energy I have. I was sleeved 5/16 and I started back swimming and Martial Arts week 3. I have steadily increased my efforts each week (still not going full pace). I sleep harder at night, wake up more refreshed and have had more energy with each passing day. It was hard at first, but so worth the effort. Baby steps. -
Can you believe this?

Sounds like malpractice to me! -
question about food
LipstickLady replied to cindymaried's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Just open your mouth and tell them! Let them know that you want to follow their guidelines, but that you will need to shop around and find more cost effective alternatives. You should not be locked into their food plan only. You can't live like that forever! -
Me, too. Mine was a small bite and it sat there for an hour.

I didn't twist your words at all. I quoted you directly. Have a great day!

5 days post op-afraid it didnt work! Feeling TOO normal.
LipstickLady replied to megansmommy123's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
The yogurt didn't cause the leak. That's ridiculous. There had to be a problem with her staple line. Yogurt can go through a strainer so that blows that theory. -

I was allowed smooth yogurt on the full liquid phase. Jello and pudding, too. -

I am in the Richmond area, you? -
I feel no need to bash people who disagree with me, nor like you, do I feel the need to tell others that they can't post because "I don't want to hear from them". Believe me, if I was, you'd know it.

I don't see her as a VICTIM but at the same time, she was taken advantage of. Willingly? Yes. Was it wrong of him? Absolutely. What he did was a an error in judgement and as her physician, he took advantage of her emotionally and physically. Was she guilty of being stupid? Absolutely, especially as she is old enough to know better. I think she was scorned, lashed out and caused all this drama because of hurt feelings, but that said, he never should have put himself in the position to be accused of such. I would be more skeptical if she wasn't the only one -- that's what REALLY disturbs me. I am concerned about her "retraction". Is she being coerced monetarily, emotionally, legally? This is my biggest concern right now.

Muscle weighs more than fat! Measure your inches and the way your clothes fit. -
Uhm...ok.

So, even though he is a health care professional, is surrounded by (mostly) female patients every day, he can't control his willy? Really? He took an oath to do that. How pathetic. And of course, your experience is the ONLY experience despite all the other women who have come forward. Fascinating.

So, basically you are saying that those who are after the truth are lonely and miserable? Hmmm.... I've been happily married for 18 years and I am far from lonely or miserable nor am I a man basher. I've also noticed you love to say that his actions are merely his culture. How shameful. I am Mexican and no man in my family treats women like objects, no many preys on their self esteem issues or insecurities. They are respectful, they treat women like queens and they protect their feelings at all times. I'm sorry if you were raised differently. From the beginning, this has sounded like a high school movie. I have to wonder if "Dr. Luna" ( I am mentally taking away his man card as well as his health care provider card) spoke with the OP, professed his "true feelings" for her and is now stringing her along emotionally again. You'd think she was a teen instead of in her mid thirties. My 15 year old has more sense than that.

Beware! woman traveling to TJ
LipstickLady replied to blindsided's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
So, I assume I didn't misunderstand? -
To quote you, why would you lie? All you wanted to do was protect others, right? Are you saying the other ladies who were with you and witnessed your behavior lied, too? Is this really how little your integrity is worth? It's too late. Others have come forward and the ball is rolling. You might as well be honest now. You are old enough to know better. Please don't treat us as if we are idiots.

Her retraction is a lie. What a shame.

Really? You asked K why she corroborated the story and why she defended the op when that was BEFORE the retraction. Where did K say she felt Luna was the victim? I would love to think I misunderstood and it's been a long day. Feel free to unconfuse me. -

Shame on you. You are attacking the wrong person here. At first, Kristina was trying to do the right thing and stand by a friend through her emotional hardship. She defended her integrity and then, when she found out about the deceitful retraction, encouraged her to do the right thing. Short of physically forcing the OP to do the right thing, what else can she do? Kristina had a great experience yet rightfully pulled her good review. That shows integrity and compassion for others. Kristina has done nothing wrong here. Review the thread, the timeline and the facts before you continue to bash her for nothing. You are looking quite foolish.
