Nope. I've been out of tracking mode since vacation a week ago. I've not logged my entire day since the Sunday before last. ARGH! I am still eating what I should and I know I am under calories/carbs/fat but I don't like that I've lost my OCD regarding tracking. I am kicking my ass back into gear, though. That's all I can do. I got in my 10k steps today, I went to my kickboxing class as well as my TaeKwonDo class. It felt SO FREAKING good to get back into my exercise track that I know getting back into my food cycle will as well. shake it off and restart what you are supposed to do now. Not tomorrow, not Monday, NOW.

Honest opinion...how does this look?

Throw on a pair of spanx (if you don't have them on now) and it's great! It's a perfect style for your curves. I am spanx obsessed with every dress. Eliminates the bumpies and the chub rub. -
Our favorite way to cook fish is to marinate it (salmon gets teriyaki, tuna or mahi gets chimmichurri) and then grill it on the George Foreman. We grill scallops on the Foreman as well. It's easy, less risk of the outdoor grill eating half and it's quick.

I'm going to one up this just a bit. Fill a pie pan with fresh spinach and drizzle with lemon juice, a bit of salt and pepper and red pepper flakes if you like heat. Prepare the fish as directed above and lay on top of the spinach. Cook as directed. The juice from the fish and lemon will cook down the spinach and it will be ever MORE delicious. One of my favorite recipes.

Recovery is a b***h

Don't try to guess. Measure out 2 or so ounces of your protein drink and stop there. You can do that every couple of hours if you want, but your fluid is much more important. Concentrate on that if you feel no physical hunger and worry about protein in a week or so. GasX strips were my best friend, by the way! -
They are delicious. The Candies bar tastes like a snickers with M&Ms inside, the chocolate brownie is like a gooey brownie with almods, the cookie bar is like a twix and the two granola bar varieties are mostly nuts, little chocolate and for me, perfect for breakfast because they are not sweet at all.

Recovery is a b***h

It will pass. I promise. Day three was the worst, and then it started improving. By week three, normalcy really starts to set in. Keep walking, keep sipping and get as much sleep as you can! -
I don't love the Quest bars, but I found them tolerable. I am usually full after 2/3 of it, so I toss the rest and feel quite proud of myself that I didn't "clean my plate". I love love love the Oh Yeah Bars. I am not a big sweets eater so one satisfies me and I have no carb cravings after. They are definitely a meal for me. Disneyland trip - 5 weeks Post-Op

Applesauce pouches, protein shakes, gogurts, and water flavoring packets if that helps you drink more. You won't want to eat too much and you need to stay hydrated. That's the most important thing other than having the best time ever! -
Uhm...yay? Ha! Totally get it! Good for you on the narrower booty, not so much on the leg/ankle ouchie.

Why no lobster? I'm allergic, myself, but my favorite meals now are shrimp, crab, scallops, etc. I eat frozen nf/sf yogurt, a small bite or two of a brownie, a Hershey kiss here and there... Difference is, I savor it instead of horsing it down without tasting it. I log it and I stay under my calories, fat and carbs. I don't recommend this if a small bite will set you up for failure, though. I didn't get fat off sweets, so these are not my downfall. You will not see me trying chips or other fatty salty Snacks. That's where my house of cards will collapse.

Queso dip will most likely cause a lot of stomach issues. Just skip eating. I've done it many times and never had a problem, especially if you are with a group. What's one more chair at the table? Your puree stage will fly by and you will be onto soft foods soon enough. BWW still won't be too diet friendly, but you can't eat much anyways, so the insides of the fish tacos or maybe some chili at that point will be fine.

I do!! Saves me a bunch of money and food waste. My eyes still see normal sized portions at times but my tummy only holds an ounce or two. My scale helps me track and keeps me from putting too much on my plate.

I'm not hostile at all. I don't agree with you, so was I supposed to start my conversation by pretending that I did? -

Your opinion is valid, but that's all it is, an OPINION. Why are you so hostile towards those who are also voicing an opinion? Just because they may not coincide with yours, they do not take away from you or what you feel you need to do to be successful. -
You have to come to my happy little universe and pay me for one in chocolate drops and cherries.

Second Stage Surgery of Duodenal Switch Necessary for Some Sleevers
LipstickLady replied to RickyDee's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I can't read your mind, I can only read your words and I was replying to what I understood you to be saying, not just in what I quoted, but the other posts you made in this thread as well. Your "truth" is overgeneralization, plain and simple. Your sample audience is biased as there are thousands of patients out there that do not utilize forums, groups, etc. Many times, in the long term, the people looking for more solutions utilize these resources and those who are satisfied do not. From what you are said, you CAN control your volume of food. You were on a strict diet of 1200 calories, you did everything right, you were the model patient, so the problem is not in your portion control, but somewhere else, or did I "misread" that, too? -
Second Stage Surgery of Duodenal Switch Necessary for Some Sleevers
LipstickLady replied to RickyDee's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
My only problem with this topic is the over generalization. If DS is right for YOU, awesome! Clearly, everyone loses differently and we all require different tools to be where we need to be to hit our healthiest weight. To say all grazers or all bingers or all people with any other eating disorder or concerns about regaining must have the same surgery to be successful is ludicrous. Just because a stand alone VSG didn't work for you, doesn't make it the right choice for others. I would hate for a newbie coming here to research this fantastic option to be scared off at the thought of a two part surgery when it's really not necessary. I 'm thrilled you are finding your solution, but I feel as if you are pushing your procedure on everyone. I wish you great success! -
White "chocolate"? Why not eat glue? Or boogers? Ewwwwww!

I'm only 12 weeks out so I am not the one to answer your question, but I wish you the very best with your weight loss. I love my sleeve and I've not regretted my decision for a moment. -
