  1. *here boo you can have your wig back, but im sorry its too late for your* Sent from my SM-N920T using the BariatricPal App @@Candygyrl Explain this, too, please.
  2. @@Candygyrl Thanks, girl. I'm old. I'm confused why people who miss things are wrong. I'm also confused why people who don't miss things are wrong. Why is always an US vs. THEM scenario around here? And I really don't understand why the name calling starts. Totally ridiculous. In MY opinion.
  3. Who are you talking about? Sent from my SM-G930P using the BariatricPal App What does that even MEAN???

    Able to eat almost anything

Why did you eat chicken while on full liquids? Just curious. And you said "almost anything". What else have you tried besides chicken and pudding?

Hair is falling out and nails are chipping/weak

In my opinion, you need to add more healthy fat to your diet. Every time I've ever gone on WWs, Jenny, etc., I've experienced the same. The only diet that did not have this effect was Atkins. High protein', high fat, low carb. No supplements' or special vitamins' here, minimal hair' loss. Avocado, eggs, cheese', olive oil...

    What was your "last" meal?

    Good for you!!!
  7. Meh... it's amusing. And telling. Better me than the sensitive type.
  8. She finds herself at Applebees and reaches out to a support forum...I don't understand replies like this, honestly. This didn't need to be another damned pile-on. It's getting old. In all fairness, I nicely told her order the tomato basil soup' and still got pooped on.

    Idiot dater (Rant warning)

It's my opinion that the ladies in here really need to respect the men's room. We should also expect the same from them in reverse. Just throwing it out there.

She's already great! She'll simply be in a smaller package soon enough!

Positive motivation: I will not miss...

I don't miss being the fattest mom in the room. I don't miss sweating my way through life. (I am constantly freezing now.) I don't miss being too fat to shop in the same stores as my teenagers. I don't miss fast food. I don't miss yo yo dieting and the feeling of guilt whenever I "cheated". I don't miss crowding strangers on buses, trains, or in theatres. I don't miss an all black wardrobe. I don't miss the doctor's obvious advice that I need to lose weight. I don't miss aching knees, feet, back. I don't miss worrying about being pre-diabetic. I don't miss feeling all eyes on me (imagined) when I ate out at a restaurant. I don't miss squeezing my way through life, down aisles, into elevators, past people in crowded spaces, into clothes that are a wee bit too snug. I don't miss being too fat for a full arms around hug. I could go on forever...

1 step forward 2 steps backwards

Meh. I was up and about at day 2 post op. I was functioning pretty normally right away, just tired, and struggling with fluids but able to do about anything. Some days were better than others as the anesthesia left my body and I worked on getting in some protein'. Week three was my major turn around to feeling GOOD and that seems like a pretty common time frame. You will get there. Rest, sip, walk. Rest, sip, walk. And repeat.

  16. Remember, we each choose our own words. YOU choose how to interpret them. Perhaps if you are overly sensitive, you are choosing to read them with tone that is not meant to be unsupportive. We all communicate in different manners. Take what works for you and ignore the rest. That's the only way ANY public forum will work for you.

    How insensitive...

About 6 years ago I had a lemon sized brain tumor removed from my noggin. I was a national recruiter for a large company at the time. My Regional Manager called me while I was in the ICU to ask if I had recruited any of the nurses. He was completely serious.
  18. So the super cool thing about posting on a public message board? You get tons of responses from a variety of people. Some you'll love, others you won't. You can choose what you want and ignore the rest. Or.... You can choose to get your panties in a bunch, start name calling and hurling insults. What you CAN'T do is dictate what other people say no matter how strongly you insist upon controlling their responses. It's just not going to work. Either way, you are choosing how people will see (and respond to) you in the future. Good luck!
  19. So...I suggested Tomato Basil soup (an option on the current menu) but also commented that I'm not a fan of Applebees. In turn, I was called an old prude that sits and stares at walls. Remind me who was harsh, here?
  20. Now, it seems, I'm a coddling old prude who stares at walls because I don't like cheap chain restaurants.

Has a mingy little Olive Garden lover been going at you? I don't do any chains because I prefer good food to pre-fab, mathematically-formulated, indistinguishable fodder. Shall we don our finest, prudish frocks and dance the Lobster Quadrille?

P.S. I also prefer mediocre food to pre-fab, mathematically-formulated, indistinguishable fodder. How about a Charleston?

Life is too short, and I have too little space in my stomach for Cisco chain crap food. (side note, I can see this chain)
