  1. Oh! And to answer the question from 4.5 months out... I can eat a piece of toasted wheat bread, crusts cut off, with two crispy bacon strips inside. Just figured that out yesterday. DELICIOUS. And fiber!
  2. I've been coming here for a long time and I must have missed something. Who are the carb nazis?

I did a bad bad thing.

Start off with some popcorn and wash it down with an icy cold soda and it should be fine.

Almond Snickers are the BOMB DIGGITY.

Regular Snickers are not. Almond Snickers are.

That's called insurance fraud. Wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

It's obvious how the word was used. I think "asking for an explanation" is passive aggressive and patronizing. Personally, I will use the F word if I feel like it. I own my own very successful business, I am not religious and even if I was, I am a grown woman and can choose to use it (or not -- profanity is not my communication of choice, but I will support someone else's right to use it in an adult forum) if I want.

Sometimes the question asked is relevant to more than just the person asking. Sometimes the advice given does not fit the OP perfectly but may pertain to those who are reading but may not have asked. When I ask a question, I take the advice that works for me and ignore the rest. I do appreciate (almost) all of the input because of the effort put into the reply, even if I don't agree with the content. Please remember, you cannot read tone over the internet. When I am in doubt, I tend to read other posts by the same person and determine if they are trying to be of help, or if they are simply trolling for drama. I rarely let my feeling get hurt by a stranger on the internet. My degrees in psychology and communications taught me better than that. Just my two cents. Take it or leave it!

I didn't scold anyone. You seem to have unnecessarily taken on that role yourself.

Really? You may be somebody's mother, but I am assuming you aren't HER mother. I agree that bad language is a poor means of communication but that said, the OP is obviously frustrated and fed up with this process. Feel a bit of compassion or skip the thread and nix the scolding. It was unasked for and unnecessary. To the OP. Are you required to follow WWs or can you use any supervised diet plan? Do you have insurance? There are other options over WWs, but if WWs is the one you must follow (and it's a great plan!), you can do it online or pay for the entire year at a highly reduced rate. What do you have to do to get to your surgery? Maybe we can help? That said, if this whole process is wearing you out, step away and take a break. You have the right to do that. Finding your happiness will take you a long way to getting your weight under control. I wish you well.

    Worst diet ever?

Did the hypnotist make you act like a chicken while you were under?

    uh oh soup problem

Every doctor is different. I was not allowed STRING cheese because the stringiness could have gotten stuck in the way down, but I was allowed soft cheese cubes on my soft stage. I was allowed cream cheese on my pureed stage along with ricotta and cottage. I'm betting your doctor doesn't want people eating fried cheese sticks, hard cheddar, and various other tougher to manage cheeses so he/she put a blanket nix on all.

You should be fine. You may have a poo issue as it is a little rich, but if you feel ok, no worries.

Sorry. I meant to quote this.

How in the world would you take that as sarcasm? Her post seriously breaks my heart for her.

This scares me so much for you. I hope that you take the time to find someone to talk to so that you can resolve the physical issues that you are having along with the psychological pain that you are experiencing. You have a beautiful grandchild to live for and you will get better if you work at it. You have a long beautiful road ahead of you, it sounds like you need a little help finding your way there.

    PIMP ALERT!!!!!!
  22. Oh goodness! I was buying a bunch of underwear of all sizes for a women's shelter as well as flushable wet toilet paper for my Sleevilla issue (lesson #2 in my signature). The look on the teenage boy's face who was ringing me up was priceless. Poor thing must have thought I blew out all my underpants.
  23. Oh, mine is FAR less than normal. I might have 3-4 tablespoons max. I am aware of the fact that it looks pathetic, but it doesn't need to be pointed out to me because, well....I MADE IT!!
  24. I wouldn't risk going against your doctor's recommendations under any circumstances. You can go without "real food" for as long as you need to to heal properly. Don't let your fat mind get in the way of your trying to emerge skinny body.

I can't eat chicken. Ugh. It makes me want to hurl. In fact, it makes me hurl for real.
