I should have skipped surgery and moved across the big water to the land of blood and sponges. -

Oh my gawwwwd. I wash the dishes with a sponge. I put a sponge in the microwave wet so it will steam clean. What kind of sponge are you eating? -

And why the fstark would one put beans on toast? You are supposed to put butter on toast. Beans would make it soggy! -

Pudding with raisins sounds much better than pudding with blood. I'm totally scared of what your pudding is, though. Mine is creamy brown chocolate flavored stuff that you cook on a stove. It's milk with thickening and flavor. No piggies harmed in the making of this food product. -

Eeeeeek! I meant you were sad. I'd be sad, too, if I had to push my date out. Did I say something different in your English? And yes....we have an international market and spotted d**k always gets my husband and teenaged girls snickering madly. Don't know what it is, but it does inspire giggly laughter for at least two aisles. -

Why would one want to eat a pudding made of blood? I prefer mine to be made of chocolate. -
Just putting it out there, so 'dirty' little secrets may see the light of day!

Treacle? Did you just call this sad soul some sort of British bloody pudding? Ack! To the op. wahhhhhh! It will happen. You will be on this side of things on enough. Congrats on your citizenship, too. Hugs and kisses... -
Ahhhhh....here it is. Just found it for your personal amusement. I knew I would be able to use these words against you at some point in the near future. Posted by endless80 on September 13, 2013 - 7:42 PM in POST-Operation Gastric Sleeve Surgery (VSG) Questions & Answers I guess I don't understand "falling off the wagon"... your sleeve is designed to restrict what you eat, meaning that whatever you eat you will eat less of. Just eat till your sleeve tells you that you're full and you're going to lose weight. I've seen plenty of people who just listen to their sleeves and eat what they want and lose plenty of weight. Obviously this is going to be an unpopular answer but everyone is different.
-
Wasn't it you, who just a few days post op yourself, told someone who had fallen a bit off the wagon, to simply stay on track or just not eat or something to that affect? Things look a lot different as the weeks pass, don't they?

I use spaghetti squash as stated above! It's delicious and I am NOT a veggie person.

Frustrated, Confused, and Discouraged

You aren't obligated to have surgery until the the anesthesiologist puts you under. I'd say go through the process planning on a 6-12 months out surgery date. In that time, diet and exercise like a fiend and do everything you can to get yourself to the weight you want to be. When it's time for you to start your pre-op, make your decision. Can you keep going the way you were? Can you commit to your new lifestyle? Did you stick to plan and are you happy? If so, forget the sleeve! If you aren't happy, have the surgery. Personally, I know that I can stick to any diet for 3-4 months. I could lose 70-80 pounds on WWs and did it several times rather quickly. When I am on, I rock. I go 100% to the point of being obsessive about my plan until I stop. Then I gain it all back, get pissed at myself and do it again. I can't do that anymore and I like it. I can have bad days, I can have long stalls, I can "cheat", but I can't quit. It's awesome. -

Mall Food Court..What would you do?
LipstickLady replied to SleeviePete's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
At the deli - chicken salad or lunch meat and cheese on a salad. Pizza - Caeser salad or the toppings from a veggie slice Carl's Jr - Grilled chicken Starbucks - smoothie or protein box Asian - non-breaded chicken or shrimp and veggies Great potato - steak and cheese salad Jamba Juice - protein smoothie Lots of great options and always check the kids' menu. -
Beef jerky, string cheese, almonds, yogurt, Protein bars... I actually find it easier to eat something from a mini-mart than a fast food place because chicken doesn't work for me and I know I can get something small enough so I am not throwing a lot of food away.
