When did the slight uncomfortableness of eating subside for you?

I'd say! I have a boring old nose on my face! -

No noises here! It took about 2 months for them to go away. -
Caffeine addict
LipstickLady replied to AshleyMidwife's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I drink coffee and wine. Daily on the first, once a week or so on the second. -

I'm gonna have to disagree, Gamer. I have been fortunate enough not to have men in my life like that so I think while that may be true in some cases, it's an unfair generalization. If this *is* the case here, it's unacceptable IMO. Have you asked him point blank? I would! You need support, not emotional distress. You are about to go through some big changes physically, chemically and emotionally and you deserve to be treated with love and understanding at all times. PERIOD. -

Not anytime soon. I still feel it almost 6 months out and I'm glad. My brain is still that of a fat girl. I never want to go back to old habits so I am thankful for that quick restriction. I'd much rather have a bit of uncomfortableness than ever be fat again. I will suggest that you try smaller bites. Use a baby spoon and a cocktail fork. It makes a huge difference for me because it sounds as if you might be taking one bite too many or too big of bites. Listen to your sleeve, right? -
Deliver us from evil.

You feel like a loser because of a mini muffin? Girl...you need to relax a little. No need to beat yourself up. You ate something that may not be ideal, you didn't run over a puppy on purpose. Track it and move on. You won't always be perfect and expecting that of yourself is only setting yourself for failure. -
You can eat any condiment in moderation.

Just putting it out there, so 'dirty' little secrets may see the light of day!

I eat bacon for breakfast almost every morning. Sometimes I even eat it for dinner. I count it, I have the calories available and I consume it with eggs so it's a protein packed yummy meal! -
I was allowed phentermine up until two weeks pre-op.

Pics of my husband 2 months out
LipstickLady replied to gamergirl's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hmph. Boys and their fast weight loss piss me off. Grrrrr.... He looks awesome! -
I can eat fish easily, but I cannot tolerate chicken. Immediate hurl and I love chicken. Turkey has the same effect unless it is ground. Try again later, you never know. Try different fish, too. Salmon is a bestie for me as is tilapia, but tuna or mahi sticks. It's weird!

You are eating a LOT of carbs and very little protein. Have you tried tracking on myfitnesspal? It could be very insightful! -
I am planning making everything homemade after surgey

Not spank, silly. TOUCH!!! -
I use EAS Carb Advantage RTD shakes. Three carbs, 17 grams of protein, 100 calories. Add ice and fruit flavored syrup or MAYBE a little real fruit and you've got a great base. Sam's or Walmart, many flavors.

Had emergency surgery; waiting to get approved
LipstickLady replied to Startfresh359's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You have to REALLY want to do this. I know $3400 is a lot, but most hospitals will let you go on a payment plan. Please don't do this unless you are sure. I am SO happy I did, but once it's done, you can't take it back. -

1 Week Post Op And It Feels Like They Forgot The Sleeve
LipstickLady replied to mountaingirlCO's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
If you measure out one ounce every two hours, you aren't in any danger of eating too much. Chew chew chew and take at least 15 minutes to eat it. Restriction will come with denser food. -

LipstickLady replied to mountaingirlCO's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Wow! Your diet progressed fast. I was liquids for a week, puréed for two weeks, mushy for two weeks, soft foods foods after that. Your tummy is still healing and numb. You may not be able to feel the restriction yet. What are you eating? -
