I tell people that I consulted a doctor (truth), I am working with a NUT (truth), I am doing high protein/low carb (truth), exercising my ass off (truth) and cut out the bad things (my tummy - truth). I have told select people, some family members, some friends, some coworkers and a whole bunch of total strangers. I hesitate to tell, not because I am ashamed of my decision (best one of my life so far!), but because I don't want to explain the surgery over and over, I don't want all the questions that I know will come from people who are asking for the wrong reasons, I want to be ME - LIPSTICKLADY - I do not want to be me, the girl who had WLS, one that no one really knows about.
