I (pink glitter) miss not being able to see (pink glitter) all my notifications (pink glitter) and all past content (pink glitter) from a user (pink glitter).

CHEWING FOOD AND SPITTING IT OUT!

And because this statement offended me so much, I have a question. I assume that because you had WLS, you were severely overweight. I also assume you have at least a half a brain and you should have known that the amount that YOU were eating and the quality of food that YOU were eating wasn't what you should be doing. Why didn't YOU stop eating "like a pig" before it came to such a drastic measure?

    I Have A Ticker! I Have A Ticker!

My new ticker puts me back in the 200s!!! I am now so far from goal and it sucks. Imagine my surprise when I saw my overnight 55 pound weight gain on my ticker.

    Young & Nervous

I wish I had gotten sleeved a decade ago. A sleeve is less invasive than bypass, you can eat normal foods after your healing process and there is less chance of dumping and malnutrition. The sleeve works by restriction, not malabsorption, and your intestines all stay intact. Do some research, ask a WLS specialist what they would recommend for YOU and do one thing before your knees and back go, before you develop co-morbidities, while your skin will stll shrink back and while you are young enough to live a long life of health!

    Success/Failure of Sleeve

The sleeve is a tool to help one lose weight by restricting the amount of food one can consume in one sitting. The sleeve does not fail you, nor does your body. Only YOU can fail you by making bad choices, grazing, overfilling your sleeve consistently, not committing yourself to a new eating/exercising lifestyle, etc. The sleeve has been my second chance on getting back to and maintaining a healthy weight, it's up to ME to make it work.
  10. I am not who you are looking for but I just have to give you a HUGE round of applause for your achievements pre-op! Congratulations on losing over 100 pounds already. What an amazing accomplishment! I can't wait to hear about your progress after your surgery.

Changes coming to Vertical Sleeve Talk?!

I'm finding that when I open a thread I am subscribed to, I may be on the last page, but I am seeing content from the first page. I have to click on page 1 and then can go back to the last page to see the newest content.

I'm Eating. At 1 Am This Morning. Wth?!

Oh! I have had to chew Rolaids at times to assist the Prilosec. I have a few friends who take a PPI twice a day. Was the hunger possibly acid?

Changes coming to Vertical Sleeve Talk?!

I just added the app to my iPad to see if it would work better than the desktop site. You know, Alex, I still don't like bariatric in the title. Sounds geriatric and I am anything but. This one will not stay on my front page even though I do like the logo.

Nah, totally not worth your time and humor. What a joke... Oh wait. I can't hear you.

    Sick Right Before The Surgery.

You are fine. I had the worst cold of my life the week of my surgery. I was doped up on Tylenol Cold for the entire week with permission from my surgeon and as I was wheeled back I was holding a box of tissues and coughing. It's all good. Call your surgeon and let them know, but go with it. You will do great!

    Got My Date...but...

So, yeah. The answer is a NO. Firm and polite. NO.

    Good Bras? $$$

I am watching for sales at Victoria's Secret. I've dropped from a 44E to a 38DD and I think that I need a 36DD at this point. I am on the last hook on the 38, so... I am not buying new bras as soon as I should but I am only about 30 pounds from goal and it's painful to think of spending that money and then spending it again. EEEEK!
  18. Hugs to you! I had the same exact issue as you, but with a week to spare instead of a few days. I asked my surgeon to intervene with a cardiologist so that things would be escalated and pushed through MUCH faster than if I was pursuing it on my own. Call and ask for their help and explain to them AGAIN about your insurance change. You can make it happen if you are firm, polite, firm, professional and FIRM.

I'm Eating. At 1 Am This Morning. Wth?!

My time of the month makes me hungrier, even with the sleeve. Add that to my habit of forgetting my acid blocker and that's a recipe for the feeling of STARVATION from time to time. Fortunately, it doesn't last long. Ugh.

Will that correct my lack of pink glitter!?!?!?!?
  23. I never make comments I wouldn't make in person, believe that. And no, you don't know me any more than I know you. Your level of pissed or not concerns me not a bit.
  24. My comments have connection. It's a shame you can't see it. That said, this topic has been dead for awhile. Good for you for bringing it back up! Oh, and telling me what I *NEED* to do won't get you far, I promise.
