I know nothing about the band and I have no desire to know anything about the band. I don't know you peeps and you don't know me, so I am 100% a neutral party. BEST.THREAD.EVER. I came in with no opinions about anyone but I am certainly leaving with a few which I will happily keep to myself. I will say this. If I was the holy Dr. O, I would be ABSOLUTELY MORTIFIED by this discussion. While it's clear that he is a respected physician (by at least one person), his methodology is almost being used as a weapon here. Certainly not how I'd want to be represented.

I feel ya! I love <insert eye roll> being told to simmer down, be patient, not to comment again, etc. by total strangers on the Internet simply because THEY don't like what I have to say. I'd like people to like me, but if they don't, so be it. A stranger's opinion of me matters about as much as a caterpillar pooping in a bush three miles away; can't see it, can't smell it, don't care about it. Them telling me what to do, how to feel or how I may or may not react is just about as effective as brushing your teeth while eating a pack of Oreos.

Tell her to stick in in her ass. Seriously. I had one friend who I knew would not be supportive as she had been vocal about WLS in the past. (Naturally skinny chick had NO RIGHT to voice her opinion, IMO.) Before telling her (and I only told her because I do love her, she is in my immediate close friend group and I had told everyone else), I let her know that I was sharing something with her that was important to me and that if she couldn't say anything supportive, I was kindly asking her to not say a damn thing at all. She complied.

I saw that. He had better send me a love note soon apologizing for that.
