Drinking sucks. Do it anyways. Go for an ounce or two every 15 minutes. I drank diluted Gatorade because it was all I could tolerate. Don't worry about Protein for the next week or so, just keep yourself hydrated. That's really all that matters. Trust me, if you had this surgery, you have enough padding that you won't starve without food.

At 2.5 years out, I feel as if I am absolutely relevant, but completely **** upon because some people CHOOSE to take my words as attacks/judgmental/bullying/etc when I truly don't intend them that way. I am not a warm fuzzy kind of girl. I never have been and I never will be. Seemingly, my personality was just FINE when I was "one of them" (newbie), but now that I am past those initial stages, I am a big old meanie. I try to remember that "newbies" are sensitive and hormonal, nervous and emotional but that said, I can't/won't coddle bad decisions. No one coddled me and I learned the most from people who told me their truths. Even when I couldn't relate, I appreciated that they shared with me their real feelings instead of justifying mine. I, too, feel that I only "get" from the vet forums and maintenance forums, but that doesn't stop me from wanting to "give" in the other forums. Some will appreciate it, some will not. Those who do can take it, those who don't can leave it. It's their choice, their gain, or their problem.

I am going to CAVE to the peer pressure that is this thread in a modified form. Today I will have only liquids (coffee, coke zero, honey whiskey, cheese dip), protein (meatballs, chicken wings, sausage dip) and NO CARBS. Halloween party tonight. Not even one mini snickers. Sigh.

I've run into your comments quite a bit here and while sometimes helpful, you're mostly sanctimonious and condescending. Well, that was rude, wasn't it?

Unsupportive, mean-girl, bully, clique, gang, "bitchy", group mentality, blah, blah, blah. The funny part is that those who want to point out this "horrific" behavior are also the ones who like to call names and use foul language. Funny that.

I am completely scale insensitive. I hope on and off 5 or 6 times a day in various forms of dress, before and after a meal, early, late, whenever. I always have and always will. It's like step aerobics, right?

I personally do NOT know anyone who had had surgery only to regain a lot back. That said, I've heard about a lot of "aunts", "cousins", "neighbor's mother's sisters", etc. You know, all the horror stories that people love to share about this "easy way out" we chose - the one that really doesn't work anyway.

My "little friend"? Huh? I would suggest that if your insinuation of your intent to threaten members of this forum is real, that you reconsider. I am quite positive that the owner of this site would frown on it. I do believe not only is that type of behavior against the rules and regulations of this forum, but it is also best left on the playground.
