  2. I do mud runs several times a year and I am NOT the running type. The obstacles are fun and you get to quit running at every single one. I hate running.
  3. Do something fun like Zumba!! Or kickboxing. Beating the sh^t out of stuff is FUNNN!!!

    GoFundMe accounts?

well you sure are lucky that you only had to pay $4,000!!!! I'm sure if you had to pay the $21,000 like most of us, you probably would not have had it done!!!!!! Lucky girl!! I worked hard to get a job that has great benefits. I pay every month out of pocket for those benefits and paid my co-pays in cash. The harder I work, the luckier I get!!

    Made it to goal. Hurrah?

I love that your ultimate goal is what you can do and how you can change your life, not just the number on the scale. And it only took you 112 pounds to figure that out!! YAY!!

Does my body has its own goal?

Yeah I'm still pushing forward in hopes to lose the extra 10-15 pounds but my body is definitely not making it easy. Wait, whuuuuuuuut?? This ISN'T the easy way out???? They told me it was!!!!

    11 Weeks post op Frenzy!

I was an upchucker and at 2.5 years out, I still am occasionally. Sounds to me like you are pushing your FULL button a bit too much. Quinoa isn't your best choice right now nor is kale. At 11 weeks, I was still doing purees and just starting soft foods. I could eat MAYBE 2 shrimp or 2 tablespoons of chicken salad. tuna, shrimp salad. Any more than that and it would all come back. I had to train myself to eat smaller bites at a slower pace. I bought some baby spoons and I would eat a small bite off whatever I was having, walk a lap around my downstairs, and then have another bite. This slowed me down, made me chew better, got some extra steps in and helped me burp up any air (the enemy of many sleeved tummies) I had swallowed. Try it and see.

Does my body has its own goal?

The last time I trusted my body, I ballooned to 264 pounds. I've decided that my brain and my will needs to set the goal, because I obviously can't trust my body to do it correctly.

    Back in the Game Again

Then just do that. Instead of worrying about a blossoming relationship, a potential partner, a love interest, just go out and have fun. You've had a lot going on lately between weight loss, unsuccessful treatment, a failed relationship...I can't imagine you are in a place to find a healthy relationship that will be right for YOU once everything is aligned. Heal your body, heal your heart, heal your mind by just being you. Go dance, hike, take classes, learn a language, an instrument, to knit. The possibilities are endless! Find the new you and the right relationship will come along eventually.
  10. @@Elode With that horrible torture device in your mouth I would expect you to lose a few pounds. Don't stress about it. Just worry about fixing what ever is going on and getting in any nutrients you can and worry about your weight later. No point in obsessing over something you have so little control over right now. That thing is temporary. If you lose a few more pounds because of it, OH WELL. Getting worked up about it isn't going to change it, it's only going to make the problem worse. You will be fine. Once that thing is out of your mouth, you can go back to normal and put those pounds back on if you need to. In the meantime, hit the gym to maintain your muscle tone and perhaps a few extra workouts will stimulate your appetite.

    Frustration and anger

I've always considered myself thick skinned because poopy comments never get to me. That said, I must be a mean B**TCH, too, because I don't think anyone would DARE say the above comments to me.

    So frustrated!

Take an NSAID if you need one. Don't take them excessively on a daily basis and you will be fine.

    GOOOAAAALLLLLLL!

Good for you. I have no doubt you will do well with your maintenance. You should be proud of yourself.

    I'm scared

You're fine. Too much liquid with food (something I still can't do without yacking at 2.5 years out) isn't good. You've not damaged something, I'd guess, but you are not teaching yourself good habits by doing so. I was at 2 spoons of yogurt at 6 weeks out. Go slower, eat less at a sitting. I still eat every 2-3 hours but only a 1/2 cup at a sitting max.

    Vomiting...

Yeah...that might be your problem. It took me forever to move to pureed and then soft foods. I was about three weeks behind schedule for every stage. I would personally try Protein drinks and cream Soups before purees. It just makes sense. Go easy on your new stomach. It's not ready for softs/purees and mushies yet.

    Post surgery feedback

Walk steps slowly. It helps the gas move faster.

    Vomiting...

How are you tolerating broth? Proteen (sic) drinks? Gatorade? You shouldn't be getting anything solid down at this point (if you are on the pureed stage). Staying hydrated is key and you really do need to focus more on fluids than food. Weird, I know, but true.
  19. LipstickLady

Did you say "what did I do" !

Never regretted it for a second. Despite my complications, my vomiting, constant diarrhea, etc. I have never ever EVER thought this surgery was anything short of my miracle.
