  3. You'll do fine.......FYI the results from the colonoscopy put me at a higher risk for colon cancer.....now have to be tested every 5 years...My aunt died from colon cancer recently......I'll take the discomfort for 2 days if it'll save me from what she went through....I just don't have to like it LOL Good luck!
  4. Awww......I hope when you break through that stall, that it's BIG.....Good luck....don't get discouraged!
  5. My husband takes the worst pictures........But yeah, I plan on having pictures taken, even if it takes him an hour or two until he gets it right LOL Since I'm not telling people about the procedure, I'm leary to ask anyone
  6. Hope it all went well, I'm sure you'll do fine! Had my upper & lower GI done last week.....other than the prep for colonoscopy, everything was easy peasy....lucky you not having to have a colonoscopy!!!!!
  7. Thank you for letting us know everything went well...glad you're not in pain!

    What do I do now?

Wow, that's odd......I went to an informational seminar. Even though I knew WLS was a covered benefit, the surgeon's office had to verify it with my insurance for themselves and verify the required steps to get approved. I wish I had helpful info for you.....good luck with this!

    I AM APPROVED!

Congratulations! One more week before we submit mine to the insurance.......and I'm anxious!
  15. I am soooooo ready also......went to a wedding today.....oh my gosh......the food kept coming for four hours--it was non stop............knowing what my dinner would consist of after I'm sleeved, I made much better, smaller choices than I would have a year ago LOL

    Day 1 of preop Diet!

I like the premiere (prepared) protein drinks......I'm not a big fan of vanilla in general, but it tasted good....and, of course, I like the chocolate....good luck!
  17. When I had my gallbladder removed, my Aunt Flo left the night before......yay, no worries! But when they wheeled me from recovery and helped me to bed, there were big quilted pads on the wheelchair.....I guess Aunt Flo forgot something and came back during surgery..........it was a little awkward, but after 5 seconds, I was over it...........like others said, they deal with this all the time, it was nothing to the hospital staff.....they acted like this was no big thing, happens all the time.....so don't worry about. Good luck on Tuesday!

    Finally

Congratulations to you both! July 1st the NUT fill finish up with me and send in her paperwork to my dr's.....the last piece of the puzzle before sending it to insurance....well, hopefully.....we'll see if they enforce the new rules or honor the old.....worse case scenario everything will be delayed a month before submitting to Ins.

    Endoscopy

I just got the results of my endoscopy.....no ulcers, no H.Pylori, [YAY!] but was told I have a hiatal hernia---the kind that has no symptoms/pain. I think the bariatric surgeon will fix the hernia during the operation.
  20. Hey Janice! Have you been to a support group? I'm am SURE you are not the only person feeling this way post-op (my sister struggled with body image after her RNY).......I'm still pre-op---finishing up the NUT appointments next month with any luck.....but have been thinking about going to a support group as a pre-op which was recommended by the gal who did my psych eval......I know we don't live especially close to each other, but we could try to meet up at a support group at the hospital you had your surgery...I know there are some in the Fairfield area, too.....PM me if you'd like, I'm still here! Sending cyber hugs your way. --p
