PGee replied to PGee's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
That's terrific.....would be happy to send it along....I'll send you a private message. -
I have a brand spanking new bathing suit....tags still on it in a size 22W. I saw this picture online, and I think it's the same suit. If the picture doesn't show up (first time posting a picture), try this link for a description.....looks just like the bathing suit I've got to offer. Best wishes http://www.qvc.com/C...6.001?$uslarge$ EDITED: I am not asking $ for it.....happy to send it on to someone else who can wear it this summer.

something similar happened to me too.......I'm preop, too--the best suggestion I have for you is don't sweat it.....I'm going on 2 weeks waiting for approval......with our BMI's, I have faith it'll happen

Guess who got approved....
PGee replied to LI Gemini NY's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
So glad, that's terrific news! No date, waiting for approval........but it's going along, and it'll happen. Good luck, and thanks for the update....you two have been on my mind, so glad everything worked out!!! -
I am in the approval process, w/o a date, and have heard a lot of people having these feelings. I've been eating healthier...and attempting to ween myself off carbs so it's easier down the road.....I'm so afraid I'll be in mourning too when I do get a date LOL

Happy Birthday! Too funny about the jello! Hope you're having a GREAT day!

That is great news!!!!!! I've been thinking of you & your SO.....how's she doing? It's been a week since her surgery, right? I was moved by your post/concern for her.....being a pre-op, the only thing I could offer were good thoughts/prayers for her recovery. Congrats & good luck! -
There's also the Duodenal Switch (kind of a cross between the two)...you can google it for more info...

The whole rerouting bothered me some (and for some reason, removing 85% of my stomach doesn't [?]).......my sister has RNY, and due to the malabsorption issue, she is in a clinic weekly or biweekly getting nutrients by IV.....since our genetics are so close, I decided to go with the sleeve......on the upside, her diabetes was reversed with the RNY.....

Good luck today....best wishes!

Any have a hole in your diaphragm?
PGee replied to CatherineJo's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Still in the preop phase w/o a date.....BUT the insurance co. is asking for more information from the surgeon since opening my case for VSG....and included is a request for a surgery date.....I'm hopeful this week we'll have a tentative date on the calendar (dependent upon Ins. approval, of course)....I think I'd be a nut case if it wasn't for VST members and sharing their experiences. -
.....twenty.....six.......hours!

How exciting............good luck! -
Favorite Unflavored Protein Powder?
PGee replied to troopersma's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I got the sample box from Unjury for about $20......and I liked the unflavored......I didn't notice any taste. -
Oh thank goodness! Many thanks!

I like "not your mother's jeans" quite a bit.....I had to go down a size.....they come in petites, however, my store didn't carry them, so I bought a regular and just hemmed them up myself (at that price, they should have been hemmed for me LOL) I'm 5'1, and the waist to crotch measurement was fine....no low rise there......good luck!

Any have a hole in your diaphragm?
PGee replied to CatherineJo's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm still preop, but they found my hiatal hernia in the endoscopy......I was wondering what they would use to seal it....I had seen a you tube video of a surgery repairing a HH, and they used something from a pig.......kind of creepy and really cool at the same time -
So, I don't know if this is good, bad, or normal......today I got a letter from Cigna (well it's a copy of a letter they sent to my doctor)......wanting more information.....and all of what they are asking should have been with the doctor's office (sounds familiar, huh?).....did anyone else get this? One odd thing is they want to know the admit date, surgery date......and I don't have that yet.....that was dependent upon being approved (or so I thought).......of course it's a weekend, and I can't get in touch with the doctor's office.....so I definitely won't have my answer by Wednesday.....darn! (go ahead and substitute that for a stronger word, I did LOL) Oh well, wish me luck.......and a lot of patience......thanks!
-
That's terrific! Glad to see your health has really improved......of course, you look great!
-
Jeanie, I'm in the approval process.......hopefully by Wednesday........I was hoping to have surgery this month, but doesn't look like that will happen.....maybe August..
-
That's one issue I was worried as well.....my sister lost quite a bit of weight and she now has dimples by her mouth....so cute.......and at 51, she looks younger.....I'm right behind her turning 50 very soon.....

Problems with insurance?
PGee replied to learningpatience's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Now that I think of it, I'm not sure what weight they used for me....they will have the surgeon's, PCP's, and the nutritionists' documented weights, I'm sure.......I should know soon.....now I don't know if I'm excited or scared to death LOL Good luck.....will keep ya posted....you do the same....Yeeha!
