I'm in! I am pretty sure I am not going to make my vday goal. Winter weather is kicking up my snacking habits. Being snowed in all day today, I have snacked ALL day! >_< Howpfully I can get control of myself with this next challenge.

I have a Light and Fit Greek yogurt pretty much very morning. Sometimes with a little granola to add texture. Otherwise, a protein bar or shake.

I was feeling bummed on Friday because I was up a little, then this morning I weighed myself and I am down 4.1 lbs from Friday! I don't know what was going on Friday morning, but I am relieved to see maybe it was just an off day!! At 202.4 this morning I am more hopeful to reach my goal of Onederland this week!! :-) Good luck to everyone on the final week of the challenge!

Is he using protein shakes? That is the best way to get the right protein after surgery. I was told specifically to not use the protein gel shots. They use a different kind of protein that doesn't absorb the same. Also your body can't absorb more than 30g of protein at one time, so any more doesn't really count toward totals for the day. I was told to only use supplements that are protein isolate.

Head hunger and bad habits

Oh, I most definitely think j am addicted to carbs. I did very well the first couple months, but once I was allowed to add more things into my diet, the carbs came back into my life. >_< I try to have something with protein too sometimes. I know what I should be eating and not eating, but in the moment I don't care. Then after I am made at myself. But then the next moment I am snacking again. It's ridiculous and it's all my own fault, but still hard habits to break. -
Bad habits have been sneaking back into my life. I have great restriction with meals, but I have no issues grazing and snacking. I am just over 3 months out and I tolerate pretty much eveything which is a blessing and a curse. I am still losing weight, but I am concerned about my old evening snack habits coming back. I know I need to just not snack. It's not that I get hungry after dinner. I rarely get all that hungry. But I WANT to eat. My desire for snacks is high. I find myself thinking about food and mentally analyzing my fridge and cupboards, then finally going to get something. I keep lots of healthy snacks around, but I find myself grabbing the less healthy things that are in the house for my family. I guess I am just hoping that putting it out there will help me deal. Any advice from others that have struggled with head hunger would be helpful.

Good morning! I am down 1.2 lbs this week. Current weight- 209.6 The exciting part? I am now overweight! :-) No longer obese by the BMI chart.

I recently started using granola in my yogurt. Tastes great and I have no problem with it. I am 3 months post op.

Happy New year!! Well, I didn't meet my goal, but I am happy to make it through the holidays and sti be losing weight! That is a first for me. Today's weight- 211

Merry Christmas!! Only down 1.4 lbs this week, but still happy to be losing. Makes me need to lose 3 lbs to meet my New Years goal. So I gotta work harder this week and ignore all the candies and cookies people keep bringing into work!! Today's weight- 212.4

Omg! Buy bacon jerky. It's fantastic! I have only found it at walmart, but I am sure it is sold elsewhere.

I have noticed that myself! Maybe it just seems quicker because I want to eat more. Restaurant food always tastes so much better than my own cooking! Haha

I'm in a similar situation. I am down nearly 40 lbs and I am still wearing the same size 18 jeans. They are a bit too big on me, but the size 16 jeans I have are tight. I can zip the 16s but have a muffin top which is not what I am going for. For now I am just dealing with the saggy butt size 18s, and hoping to get fully into the 16s soon.

I am almost 3 months out and I can eat pretty much anything. I can eat a lot of anything though. I had pizza once, but only got through one slice (minus the crust). Personally I am glad I can eat different things. I would go crazy without good options. I have become good about making better choices. I know I need my protein so I stay away from carbs and sugar and stick more with meats and cheeses. Having one slice of pizza or one cookie was never my problem. My problem was eating half a large pizza or a box of cookies. Haha I ok with being able to eat the things I like in limited quantities.

How did you handle the wine? I am 9 weeks out and haven't had any alcohol yet. I was originally going to wait six months, but I think that is excessive. I was thinking abou having a glass of wine on Xmas or New Years.

Personally I am not going to totally shut myself off front the holiday food. I am certainly going to be careful and still focus on eating healthy and focus on protein, but I will allow myself to have a cookie or piece of chocolate every now and then. My problem was always that I would eat many cookies and candies. Now I find that I am ok having just one. I don't want my sleeved life to be miserable. And missing out on everything forever would make me miserable. I will let my sleeve help me to learn moderation.
