I had my surgery two weeks ago today. I haven't had the problems that some of you have, but a couple of days ago I reached to pick up a newspaper in a rather awkward way and had a great deal of pain at the site of my port. I still am very sore. Have any of you had a similar problem?

I had my surgery in Nashville on June 12. Thankfully, I have had no complications. I lost 39 pounds in the pre-op period. I think I have lost some more after surgery. Vickie, I had my surgery at Baptist in Nashville nine days ago. I do not have any of the usual health problems, but I am 57. I have had no real problems. I stopped having any pain two days ago. Dr. Albert Spaw did my surgery.

ckbw, I know that I am fortunate to have insurance that pays. The surgeons who practice at Baptist Hospital in Nashville come highly recommended, but the cost is about average. If you want to contact them, let me know and I will send the information.

I am part of the Blue Cross state teachers plan. It took about six months, but they finally agreed to pay. I was told at first that I was too healthy for them to perform the surgery since I had no problems with blood pressure, blood sugar, or cholesterol. I was about to file a grievance, but for some reason they changed their minds. My surgery is on June 12.

Hi, I am Terry. If you should look at my profile, I am not 92. I made a mistake typing in the date. I am 57. I live in Giles County about 15 miles south of Pulaski, almost on the Alabama line. Hello, I am Terry. My surgery is scheduled for June 12. One of the rules that my doctor has is that I attend at least one support group meeting before surgery. I have no problem with this, but there are no support group meeting that I can attend before June 12. If I can find a online chat group or live online meeting group hopefully that will meet the requirement. I would greatly appreciate if any of you could give me some suggestions.
