Tall Women, Tell Me Your Story!

I'm not "tall". My legs are short, but my torso is longish. I'm like 5.6-5.7? I started at 238 and at last scale I was 208. My problem is I'm all boobs. I always have been. I went from a 42DDD to now 38DDD. I wouldn't care so much if they were up on my chest like they used to be. My hubs says if I get to my goal weight and hold it he'll "buy" me a new set! Actually I dint want them any larger. I just wNt them lifted and firmer. ????
  3. Congratulations. You look sooooo pretty! I'm down from a 20-22 into a 16 now. I wonder if I look as good as you? I started at 238 and I'm down to 208. (I'm on the bike at the Y right now, and I haven't weighed since Wednesday, so I might be less...)

    December 2013 Sleevers Come In!

Congrats to all you December "babies". I was sleeved 10/17/13. I started at 238 5'6inches. Now I'm down to 207!!! 170 is my goal weight. My dr's goal is somewhere around 150-160, but I've been that small before and it doesn't look healthy on me.
  5. Sleeved 10/17/13 I've had to "spit up" 2-3 times from eating too fast. I don't get the "heave" feeling like when you vomit. It was more like a "chunky burp". Still, I didn't like it. I can eat pretty much anything. I just have to goooooo sllloooow, and that's not always easy.

    Smooth Recovery? Anyone?

I have had a great recovery. I was sleeved on 10/11/13. I went in at 238 and as of today 11/12/13 I weigh 213. I had bad N&V for the 24 hours, but I always react like that to general anesthesia. The gas in the shoulders hurt for the first 24 hours and so did my belly, but that's to be expected with 5 holes in my belly. As soon as I got home I started walking, and I just started exercising at the gym again. One of my incision sights is very sore, but it's the "big hole", and I think it's probably normal. I just take a Tylenol and it eases off. I'm hungry all the time, which is disappointing. My nutritionist suggested I up the Protein and thinks it should ease off with the workouts.

    Newbie Post Op

My surgery was 10/17/13. I had trouble with nausea and vomiting the first day and a half after surgery. My surgery was on a Thursday, but by Saturday I was done puking. (I always react with n&v to general anesthesia) I also had gas in my shoulders. Besides vomiting, the gas is the worst, but its a small price to pay. I went home with scripts for pain meds, but I hate pain meds. I got by just fine with just liquid Tylenol. The closest thing I can compare the pain to is when I had my vaginal hysterectomy 12 years ago. I toughed that out with just tylenol, also. I take bupropion and Nexium daily, so I had to crush them up. I HATED crushing my pills! It was nasty! I admit that after 5-6 days i started just cutting the bupropion into quarters and swallowing it and I substituted the Nexium with prilosec. That I also cut into quarters. I know its cheating, but ......

    October 2013 Sleevers Roll call!

Sleeved 10/17 HW 270 SW 238 CW 215 I'm having trouble being hungry ALL THE TIME! I was expecting the "hunger" portion of my stomach to be gone, but I friggin stay hungry. I try to curb it with Water and sugar free popcicles, but this mess is hard! I feel fine and I'm doing so well with the healing that my dr even released me to exercise. I started today. I'm hoping that exercise will help kill the hunger? suggestions? solutions?

    Nags Head May 2013 006.JPG

I live a few minutes from Nags Head. Were you here on vacation, or do you live here? Happy for you in your progress. Keep up the good work.
  10. I'm not quite 4 weeks post op. I've been caught out and about and no where near home without a Protein shake a couple of times. Once I went to Chic filet and ordered one chicken strip, a small order of fries and a Water. It took me all afternoon to eat the entire chicken strip and about 5-6 fries. I just nibbled and ate super slow. Another time we were at my FAVORITE Japanese place, so I ordered a sushi roll with super light rice, then I picked most of the rice off and ate 2 1/2 of the 6 pieces that they cut it up into. I was a happy girl because I LOVE fresh sushi!
