I had my revision on June 6th. I haven't been able to get all my liquids in because it hurts and I have lots of gas. I am walking taking gas-x etc but nothing is really helping. I went to the doctor and everything is ok. She gave me a prescription dose of Pepcid to help with my hunger. Right now I am at the mall so I could walk. I am cranky because my family is eating food and I can't. I am frustrated because I have lost only 7 pounds including preop. I know this phase will pass but I just want to feel better!

I just started my full liquid phase. Does anyone know if I can have strained soup on this phase?

Couldny get my sleeve today

I had my revision on June 6th with Dr. Kim. I understand your disappointment but at the same time my stomach is so swollen! Imagine if there were complications. You wouldn't want to go through that! -

With Dr. Kim? He usually does it all in one surgery. If he felt that way, then you know he is really looking out for you. He is making sure there are no complications. -
This ketosis breath is going to kill someone!

I am in the same boat. I saw my husband cover his nose and realized it was my bad breath. He tried to make me feel better but I don't know what to do about the bad breath. I am 4 days post op. -
For those who had band to sleeve in one surgery..
shielanotsheila replied to Band07's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
My band was emptied 2 months prior to give my stomach a chance to heal. I had the revision all in one. -
Staci27, that is exactly what I was wondering. I had surgery on June 6th and I have only lost 5 pounds including pre surgery diet. I feel upset that I went through this and the pounds aren't leaving.

And I am so scared. I am hope I am making the right decision!

Thanks DaFierce1! I am trying to walk but I am so damn tired too! I need to figure out how to get my fluids in because I seem to get more gas when I sip. -

I woke up nauseated. I had nothing to throw up so it hurt. I feel like crap but noticed I am really tired and just want to sleep! I am trying to sip my water but the gas is unbelievable! -

Thanks for the info! I had googled dr. Kim reviews. I don't remember the exact site.

My experience hasn't been unsatisfying. His staff has been great. I was thinking of switching because Dr. Kim is far from where I live. I live in Frisco. I went to Dr. Kim because he was close to work and it was easy to get to appointments from work. I didn't realize the surgery would be at Wise. I thought it would be at Baylor at Trophy Club. Since it is at Wise, I thought it would be a long drive for my husband. Also, I read a couple of negative reviews about him not caring if there are complications. I also read that Dr. Nick does a leak test right after surgery to make sure everything went well. Guess I am a little nervous because I had a bad experience with my lapbad. I am nervous that if there are complications that Dr. Kim won't be there for me. Hopefully the negative reviews are wrong. What is your opinion of Dr. Kim?
-
I am so glad I saw your post. I am using Dr. Kim too. I was thinking of moving over to Dr. Nicholson but he didn't have any early appointments and I don't want to wait. I have my surgery June 6th and I am very nervous!

Thank you everyone! I am hoping I made the right decision. -
Just submitted my information to my insurance. I hope they approve the revision! They only allow one bariatric surgery per lifetime. I am hoping they realize that the band did crap for me and I haven't lost the weight I wanted to!

Just found out I was approved! Surgery is June 6. So nervous! -
Hi All, I have been lurking on this board for the past week. I am trying to make the decision if I want to move over to the sleeve. I was banded in August 2010 and have only lost 25 pounds. I have never been able to find the "sweet spot" with my band. I have never had any restriction no matter what I ate. The only issue I have is not being able to drink Water properly without gulping a lot of air. I get a lot of gas when I drink. I met with a new doctor and he feels like the sleeve is right for me. I am a little nervous because I am not a huge eater. I just don't want to fail with the sleeve too. Is there anyone on the board like me who had success with the sleeve? I am also scared of the operation because I had complications from my lapband surgery. I was miserable and in pain for 2 months after my operation. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Trying to decide
shielanotsheila replied to shielanotsheila's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
My insurance allows only 1 WLS surgery per lifetime. Plus you have to have a bmi of 40 or 35 with two co-morbidity risks. I have a lapband and my bmi is 36 with no co morbidity. I just had an EGD done and they said everything looks ok.
