After almost a year (attended info seminar Dec. 2012) I finally got my date yesterday!! November 19 is the beginning of a new chapter for me. This Monday is my class for pre- and post-op info. I am walking on CLOUDS!!

My NUT said the acid in the coffee is the reason for no coffee up to 6 months post-op. She said some people can tolerate decaf during that 6 months.

Does the surgeon give you the pre-op diet?

Ladies, you all are so excited and ready for surgery that it's contagious. Everything is going to work for each of you just as and when it's supposed to. I cannot wait to read your success stories by the time I'm ready to go in. I've just had my 3rd of 7 required weigh-ins (blue care network). They're telling my date will be mid- to late-August. I was disheartened initially, even deciding not to have surgery. That decision lasted all of 1 day. ☺ After the seminar I thought I wanted the bypass but have decided on the sleeve. Fortunately, an acquaintance had the sleeve several months ago and looks absolutely fabulous!! We've talked and she's volunteered to coach me. She is so transparent and very excited for me. I'm glad during this waiting period my nutritionist is introducing the habits I required post-surgery. This change is requiring lots of prayer and I know I'll succeed.
