Bethany...I know how you feel. I weigh more now than my surgery in 2007 too but you know what? It is what it is and I am on my journey again, this time for the last time. I got down on the band until I realized that the band did not let me down, I let me down. But at some point you have to pick yourself up, dust yourself off and try again. I have learned to focus on the losing 10 pounds at a time goal instead of how much I have gained and the total of what I have to RE lose. I remember when I had gone from 173 to 215. I thought "I still look good and I still feel good" and I was too complacent. Then I crept to 230 and thought "OMG, what a loser" then I just gave up because I thought I had blew it. Let me tell ya, when I got to over 270 I wanted to kick myself in the butt. I find myself wishing I would have done something about it then, or "wow, I wished I still weighed 230 and I could start losing from there". But, I can not look at it that way anymore. The way I look at it now is "wow, I sure am glad I caught this before I got to 300." I got my butt back in gear on the 8th of October and I have lost 14 pounds. Please come in here and chat more. The people on this thread do not judge you, and you do not have to talk about weight if you do not want to. Just know that we are here if you need us. Take care of yourself! Give yourself a break. :frown:

I have to admit, if it were really good...I would have never given it away. I did learn a lesson though! Sounds like serious exercise to me! :scared2: Are you stressed? Stress can cause the band to swell....trust me! I 2nd that! Hi Jenn...are you taking care of yourself? How are you doing with your eating? If I have to be a good girl, so do you! :tt2: Glad you made it through election season unscathed! :seeya: Hello everyone!!! We had the kids over last night (stepson & stepdaughter). They will spend the night again tonight. It is nice to have them here. Macy really enjoys it when they are here so I let her miss her girlscout meeting last night. Just a rainy day expected here today which is fine with me...I wanna go curl up and get back in bed anyway (cramps). Sorry Trey, TMI for the male poster in the pack but...oh well Take care of yourselves today and make healthy choices!

Good morning everyone~ I am so cranky and bloated and other things (like something i need fiber to cure). And then to top it off, aunt flow hasn't reared her ugly head yet. There is ZERO chance of me getting on the scales right now because that would just add sadness to my list of boohoo's. That is my pity party for myself today. Yesterday I had a piece of store bakery bought tiramisu (my favorite dessert) and the good news is, it did not live up to my expectations so I gave it to dh. Thank you God. I hope all of you have a great day.

Kat-sorry about Becky. I know how you feel...it is sad when a friendship becomes one sided. Remember when i was having trouble with macy last year and she got tested for dyslexia? She did not have it and with age (and alot of work) has started doing thing the correct way. Still have a few issues, but loads better. Have a good night everyone

Good morning everyone~ We had a great time at the in-laws yesterday. Apologies were made, a few tears shed, then good times. We are invited to have Thanksgiving with them. We will probably take them up on it instead of going to my sisters house. My mom would only be there for an hour or so anyway, so she said it was OK with her. YES, I checked with my mom first, lol. But she is 70 and I would never do anything to hurt her. She is my best friend. One of dh brothers showed up and since we have seen them, they have had a son now that is 3 that macy has never met. They were fast friends. Grocery shopping today, then who knows. Hopefully nothing. My entire body aches today. For any baseball fans out there...Andy Pettite is a major league pitcher for the Yankees (was an astro for a few years too), he was at the fall festival last night and we got to meet him. He lives here in the same town I live and his father in law is the pastor for the church that had the fall festival, so he was there of course. Pretty neat. Have a great day everyone. Make good healthy choices and walk further than necessary. PS, thanks to everyone for encouraging me.

Happy Halloween!!! BOO!! Suzanne~charm? I will settle just for acceptance! LOL Debbie~thanks for the nice words (again). There was another thread I used to be on and at first I would talk about my weight loss when I was doing really well but i felt icicicles from some of them (not anyone that is posting here with us) so I just started keeping it to myself. I would never want to hurt anyone or make anyone jealous because I know how hard it can be. I just feel like I can be open about it with all of you. :wink2: I feel like I am a newbie again on a new journey. I hope that it is contagious. Well, the countdown is on for the in-laws. Thank God I will have dh and dd there too. If I feel outcasted I will just bring macy outside to play, like I used to do when she was 3. Good morning Cindy, I see you there! Have a great halloween everyone!

I am shaped like a V so skinny jeans would just make it more obvious on me! I wish I could see your outfit though, sounds cute! And when you feel good, you look good too. Congrats! I hope you get to feeling better! Hi everyone~just a late afternoon check in. Tomorrow is the day we are going to the in-laws house. I know Macy is excited. She does not even remember them. DH is excited too. I am too in a way, but still kind of nervous. I dont want to be just someone they 'have to deal with' since he is married to me. I hope Cindy (his stepmom) did not invite a bunch of other people over too. I need to remember that this is the first step into healing the family. I owe it to dh and dd. I would rather me have to go through this than for dh to regret not seeing his dad, ya know? I now am the owner of an old wooden chair. I had no chair to sit on to be able to sew and the thrift store had this one for 10 bucks. It looks older than me and it weighs a ton, so it is very sturdy. I would love to have seen the table that went with it. Yesterday morning dd had her cavity start hurting so I got her in to the dentist for filling. I told her that her intake of candy is gonna change and the great part is the pain of her tooth made her happy to oblige. So, now she makes a healthy alternate choice at the store. We are not going trick or treating tomorrow and she is fine with it. We are going to a fall festival at a church here locally. They will have really fun things to do and they will have some candy too but at least it will not be a plethora of candy. It will help me on the losing weight fron too. Have a good evening all!

Good morning everyone~I woke up about 5:20 AM because my bladder had reached it bursting point (tmi, i know) but while I was in the restroom I could not help myself...i weighed again. I was kinda scared to because I should be having aunt flow visit any day now and I could have Water retention, but I braved the scales anyway. I have reached a new set of numbers. Started at 273.5 and this morning I was down another pound to 259.5. I can not believe I am on a new plane of numbers. That tickles me and I wanted to share it with y'all. So...I have not had a ticker up in over a year, but now here it is. New journey, new ticker. I have 199 as my goal and will re-evaluate once i get back there :smile2: I wish I would have not turned my back on my band and regained all of this weight PLUS 20 pounds, but, I learned a valuable lesson and I will not dwell on the past. Whats done is done and today is a new day. If y'all get tired of hearing this all the time, let me know and I will start just blogging it Macy has decided she would make a cute kitten for halloween. She doesnt want to be a cat, but when i mentioned kitten she was all for it. lol, i guess to a 7 year old it just sounds more cute than plain old cat. Changing the costume will be easy enough, just take off the cape and mask and sew on a tail and put on cat ears and paint her face...voila! Ashley, glad you have a fun new date night planned! I am sorry for all you have endured over the past couple of years. How is your shoe store business going?? That sounds like fun and i'll bet you have more shoes than you know what to do with. I loved the ones you put the link up on. cute cute! Everyone~make it a great day in whatever you do. Thanks for being here....

Debbie-chatting on here definitely helps when you are on the ledge about to jump head first in a gallon of ice cream! lol To bad Iwas too busy eating it to log on for a really log time. lol Not anymore. Michelle-I am so glad you sister got the thumbs up from the judge. I love it that she is going to take a stand. SO many women are too scared to do that. So what is for dinner? lol OK, so now we are home from the grocery store...had to get a few thing before the big shopping trip on monday. I wait until dh can come with me so he can carry in the groceries. Have a good night everyone! ((((hugs))))
