Jolly-way to go on the -10 That is awesome!! Kat-so much fudge!! I made one batch today and I can hear it in the kitchen screaming my name! lol Jenn-I am glad that your party went good. Wish I would have been there! I was there in spirit. Would you all believe that I started this post an hour and a half ago? I went to the kitchen to get a paper towel and ended up getting may and her friend settled in to paint pictures, then unloaded the dishwasher, washed some sheets and some dishes. Then when I sat down I realized I forgot to get the paper towel (the reason I got up to begin with). So .... see Kat, the memory thing...it is setting in early for me. lol My neighbor that wants me to keep her kids if she gets her job just came over to borrow my phone because the place called her to make her an offer. I hope I am not bitig off more than I can chew. I know I can hande the 2 month old, it is the girl that just turned 3 that scares me. She is VERY VERY ummm...uh, headstrong and smarty pants, and downright mean at times. When I am singing with macy, she says over and over, "hey, stop singing, hey, stop singing". Her standard answer for everything is NO...even though you know she means yes. We'll see how it goes. I will let you know if she gets the job. So...I saw a picture of myself yesterday and it made me sad. I won't say any more about that. I know what I need to do....it still hurts though. How long & how do I defrost a 23 pound turkey? I will touch base later....

Hi Pam...welcome to our group! We have a wonderful group of people here. Most of us have been banded a while, so if you have any questions let us know! It looks like you are doing great so far! :smile2: Way to GO! I love this group of ladies. We talk about everything under the sun here as well as cheer each other along as far as our goals go. Hope you stick around...we would love to have you! No, I did not get a complete unfill when I got close to goal...I just started to eat instead of smoke. Eating the wrong things to make myself feel better and then I just got depressed over the weight gain and then I started to have ALOT of stress in my life over this past summer and it was so stressful that it caused my band to practically close up. So, I started to eat ice cream since nothing else would go down. Not just a little ice cream...ALOT. Then when I realized what was happening I got an unfill and some antidepressants and now here I am. In alot better place emotionally and ready to start over. Oh well, at least I didn't gain ALL of it back. Sorry for the longgg answer to your question! I would LOVE for you to take this ride with us! Hi ladies! so what does everyone have planned for this weekend? So far for me it has been COFFEE :wink2: After that it is a laundry day, then cleaning bathtubs...you know, fun stuff. DH started back to work today so it is just me & the girls. It is supposed to be pretty today. We actually had some sunshine yesterday and it is here again today. I am gonna try to enjoy it while I can. Have a great day everyone! I will check back in!

Good morning ladies! Today is dd and dsd last (half) day of school before the Christmas break. Macy is having a party at school so dh and I are going to it and then she comes home. We have some grocery shopping to do but it can wait for the girls to get out of school. Thanks Suzanne-how are you feeling? Cookies? o...m....g Jolly-We really needed another table, ths heavy solid oak one is great. We will never need to get another table...we just need to keep an eye out for a real leaf for it...and some better chairs. As far as folding tables, I am going to use my sisters....we are going to need it too! Kat-Macy told me that if she gets any baby dolls se is giving them away to our neighbors little girl. LOL And barbies...well, all she does with those is chop off their hair and take all the clothes off of them. Macy asked for a bike and a scooter, zhu zhu pets, and a moxie girls guitar. I can not wait for Christmas! Cindy-how are you? Jenn-glad to see the drive by!  Hi and Bye everyone!

and I changed the ticker to my MAIN goal...onederland. It was so much fun getting there the first time but it will be SWEETER this time.
-
Hey...when I was updating my ticker I realized I have only gained ONE pound since October. Guess my fill is working more than I thought. I thought for sure it was more than that. BUT, I had lost 10 and regained it, but we wont talk about that. It could be ALOT worse. I am happy with this. This is doable.

Good morning ladies~ Sorry for not posting yesterday. LOTS was going on. My dsd was running fever when she woke up yesterday and she had a sore throat so we kept her out of school and brought her to the dr. She has an upper respiratory infection. She got a shot and a Z-Pack and this morning she still has a sore throat but her ever is gone. She is going to school to find out what she needs to do because she missed 4 tests yesterday. I would keep her home until tomorrow but she only goes for half a day tomorrow. I am glad we got her to the dr so soon. Looks like we headed it off before it got really bad! We also went riding around looking at houses. We found another one that we love. It is almost 2200 sq ft. They professionally had the garage converted to a game room with a custom bar :smile2: What a bargain...not bad for people that do not drink that much but GREAT for entertaining! hint hint So now we are up to 3 favorite and am praying that this time next month at least one of them are available. Its in Gods hands. Day before we went to a thrift store (I love those places) and found a solid oak table. The 4 chairs do not really match but that is OK. I am mainly concerned about enough places for family to sit and eat Christmas dinner. Anyway, they did not have a leaf for it. We went to lowes and had a peice of wood cut for the leaf. Doesnt exactly match yet but a tablecloth can do wonders I braved the scales this morning because I knew I would get a little fire going in me if I weighed. It is easy to ignore if you keep yourself in the dark! Like Dr. Phil says, "you can't fix what you don't acknowledge". I am not going to fool myself and say that I am not going to cheat during the holidays, but I will be mindful of what I am doing and restrain myself more. I really need another fill. The 1.0 is almost like being empty. I need to be @ 1.5. That is my magic number. I will have to wait until January. I am updating my ticker to show what I weigh today that way I can see it every time I log on. Thanks for being here and helping me and encouraging me. Sometimes I think some of you have more faith in ME than I do! lol I need to get dd ready for school. Talk to you all again later to do personals!

Gosh I wish what my ticker says was true....

Good morning everyone! I wonder how tweety is doing after being banded. I wish she would check in with us. I know I need to get my shoulder checked. I just want to do it after the first of the year. I am SO scared they will want to stick a needle into my shoulder. UGH!! I am a big baby and I am not ashamed to admit it! so there  DH is on his first day off so we are going to drive around and daydream about which house we will get. We also found a table to use in addition to the one we already have for Christmas dinner. They do not mach but, oh well! At least folks will have somewhere to sit! Maybe I can buy matching tablecloths?! one is round and one is square. REDNECK! I love it! Have a great day everyone!
-
Hi friends, old & new. I am typing this one handed right now. my left shoulder is killing me. I am going to an orthopedist in january. maybe a bercer or arthrits or rotater cuff. something is jacked up. I notice that when I wear my bras (thank God I dont work) or when I carry something with my left arm it gets aggrevated. some days is better than others. today sucks. lol I will be back when I can type with both hands. <3
-
great...it is 8:10 AM and my stomach is growling. lol That cheesy chicken soup sounds great! Low carb sounds like! i will be checking in all day today more than likely... have a great day everyone! :willy_nilly:

Hi Kristen-I will help as much as I can. I am sure someone else will chime in too. As far as 'joining' a group. There really is no join process. Just go to the thread you like and start posting. Just like here...consider yourself joined :willy_nilly: As far as starting a new thread, just go to the catagory you want to post your thread, whether it be rants & raves or Lap Band Talk lounge or in a specific month and there were all the different threads are listed in the catagory you desire. There will be an option to start a new thread there on that main page. (I suck at explaining) KAT, IRENE, Someone... HELP ME!!!!!!! LOL I hope we hear from you again. We would love to have you post with us. Suzanne-please let us know how it goes tomorrow. I am sending up major prayers for you, ok?
-
Kat-you sounded a little merry about tee-ing off the DIL. :willy_nilly:
-
Kat & Jenn-the Soups sound SO good! YUM! Me, however, I made spaghetti and it was awesome. I suck! lol Suzanne-I will stop by and get you on the way to Jenns house. (i wish) Just sitting here watching some football and watching my neighbors daughter. I am keeping both kids tonight because she has a christmas party to go to so I told her I would keep them. At this time of year, any money helps. One of the 2 houses I really want to lease...has a reduced price now. OMG, I hope that at least one of the 2 are available next month! Have a great night ladies!
-
Jenn-you are making the offer hard to resist! Frank would have heart failure! lol
-
They get 250,000 for the winner at the finale, then the one that got voted out and keeps losing the most at home ... that winner gets 100,000. Still, it shouldnt be about money...we are all on the same page about that. What you prob do not realize Jenn is that I am about 20-25 pounds away from what my surgery weight was. God it hurt admitting that. But, that is why I am so hard on myself and struggling so much. I feel like a failure and I can"t shake it. :rolleyes2:
-
Good morning everyone! I agree with Laura. It is like they purposely get like skeletons just to win the money. Like that Tracy witch...she was ugly to begin with then when she was at the finale I thought OMG...her hair was even thin! She was not eating properly just so she could win the 'at home' money. I wis they would make the prize something like "we will pay for your time you missed from work and pay for your reconstructive surgery if you need it to remove the excess skin, and a lifetime gym membership and even a vacation and maybe 10,000 dollars for some new clothes. Then people would seriously do it for themselves instead of money. It looks like my neighbor is going to get a job soon. She asked me if I would keep her kids... 3 year old girl and 2 month old boy. I said yes! I wanted a part time job anyway and this is perfect even if it is full time. At least I get to stay home and I do not have to worry about the "corporate" world again! I am done for that right now. Maybe later down the road but I have served that sentence. lol The 3 year old will be starting preschool this year coming anyway, so that is good. I hope it all works out. Jenn-good to see you! We missed you. Sorry you lost your post. It is aggrevating to say the least. I can not wait for a new year...maybe I can rejuvinate myself. First I need to figure out a way to forgive myself. Have a good day ladies! Enjoy your week-end!
-
I sent Jenn a text...maybe we will see her pop in! Kat-I am SO glad they got the paycheck issue fixed. That would be something that would happen to US! The contestants on the biggest loser blew me away at how great they look! I personally think the guy that won looks better with a little more meat on his bones...but thats just me....I love a meaty guy :rolleyes2:
-
Hi there... I am about to get the kids to scool but wanted to drop in and say hello. Kat-thanks for the website. Sounds really neat! Found out in an e-mail this morning from one of my sisters that my brother and his wife have already split. Learn something new every day! :rolleyes2:
-
Laura- WAY TO GO!! I am so happy for you! Suzanne-you are eating like such a good girl and I am acting like an out of control maniac! I need to get a grip on myself! Kat-how did it go for you & Rick today? I am sitting here watching Santa Claus is coming to Town  I love these Christmas shows. I have told my family that I am cooking a turkey on Christmas day and invited them over and to my surprise I am getting more say they will come than I thought! I have a HUGE turkey, so food will not be the issue....space will. But you know what? It'll be cramped but it will be great! My brother has been married to is wife for about 15-20 years. She has 3 kids from a previous marriage. She & I were friends before she and my brother got married. Well, my brother is planning on divorcing her (has has someone else) and this is a very hard thing for all of us because it affects all of us. I have been those kids Aunt Tracy since before they were married. So, the normal gathering on Christmas eve at my moms has been cancelled because we do not want it to be a gut wrenching day for everyone knowing that this is prob the last one all together. On thanksgiving some of them did not even show up and I cried all the way home. I did not want to go through that again. That is why I am so glad that some of my family will come over here on Christmas day, ya know? So, I have rambled enough... Have a great night everyone!

Kat-I will be thinking of Rick (and you) today. Yes, it is great knowing this far in advance about the move. You know how seasoned we are at this moving thing. At least we do not have any junk!
