Dont give up on the band you have to work the band. I was band on March 21 07 and Ive lost 144 lbs I had my surgrey in the Boro. Dr Eckles done mine. But I make sure that my band is tight and I like it that way. I wish you lots of luck in your weight lose journey I know it is hard. Stephanie if your not to far from Murfreesboro they are wonderful there. And Im pretty sure they will see you if youve been banded in Mexico. Dr Eckles and Dr. Westmoreland are great. They are very careing drs and their staff is too. Dr Eckles did my surgrey on 3/21/07 and Ive lost 129 lbs it is a wondering feel have lost the weight. And the support groups are great. CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!SPAG1952 I LOVE MY BAND I HAVE HAD IT SINCE MARCH 21, 2007 ALITTLE OVER 4 MONTHS AND IVE LOST 85#S. IT WAS THE BEST CHOICE IVE EVERY MADE FOR MYSELF. AND I DID IT FOR MYSELF. OF COURSE NOT EVERYDAY IS GONNA GO THE WAY YOU THINK IT SHOULD BUT THIS IS LIFE AND THE BAND IS A TOOL THAT YOU HAVE TO USE AND MAKE THE RIGHT CHOICE. I EXERCISE 5 DAYS A WEEK AND I EAT MY PROTEIN. I CAN TELL WHEN I DONT EAT ENOUGH PROTEIN OR I DONT EXERCISE. BUT LIKE I SAID THE BAND WAS A GR8 CHOICE FOR ME AND I LOVE BEING BANDED HOPE THIS WILL HELP SOME OF YOU NEW PEOPLE. But i have 75-80 # more to lose do you exercise everyday or every other day? i also go to support groups. i heard that around 6 months out you plateu. how much more do you have to lose. good luck kim

Pandagirl, hi i had my lapband on March 21, 2007. I was not hungry, but you need to remember that we have an addiction to food and we may think that we are hungry out of habit. I had my 2nd fill and will receive my 3rd one in a couple of weeks. Ive lost 72lbs and by now if i didnt have the band i would of quit and started gaining again. but good luck with your band and i wish you success. kimslilstang

Hi bummed i eat a min. of 800 cal. a day most of the time only 500-600 and i exercize 1 hr every morning. it is very hard work but it has been worth it. i go to support groups and i speak at siminars too. it really helps me to speak and to have alots of support. also one of my friend had gastric on the 27th of june. and we support each other. i hope i have helped you if you have anymore questions contact me. thanks for all the support i get from yall kimslilstang

misty, yes they use a catheter and the gas but it is not bad at all it is worth everything they do to you for the out come. The weight you lose is worth it all. kimslilstang

olivia, i was banded on 3/21/07 they said they sewed my band to my stomach. do know for sure. what did they say was causing the band to slip. but i would do it again if they needed to. i wish you well and good luck kim

hello on my way 07, congrats on your date and good luck! the dr. chooses which band to use during surgrey or that is what mine does.. my band size is a 10 . i had my surgrey on March 21,2007. as of this morning i had lost 67lbs again good luck kimslilstang

Linda, Im not from Arkansas Im from TN and i would have the surgrey again in a heartbeat. My surgrey was March 21, 2007 Ive lost 64.5 lbs. so far and counting. but it was the best thing ive ever done. I wish you luck

Mamota I had my surgrey on 3/21/07 on a Wed. and I went back to work on Mon. so far i have lost 59 lbs. i was not scared going into my surgrey either i was relieved I was going to have a new change and yes i had tried every diet around. i feel so much better now. Good Luck w/ ur lb kimslilstang
