Hi my name is Debby. I am 56 yrs old and have been overweight my whole life. I didn't become obese till after my first child at 18. I tried all the diets, I lost a good amount of weight a couple of times,but still have not been under 200 lbs since right before I got pregnannt with my second child (1982).. When I reached 300 lbs last year, I knew I had to do something. I started looking into sleeve the summer of 2012. I was not sure if surgery was possible because I had a lot of stomach issues.. I contacted tufts medical center,. They were wonderful. I sent them all my records and they got back to me promptly. Dr.Kim recommended gastric sleeve surgery. I have lost 61 lbs since preop (1/02/13 ) 23lbs pre and 38lbs since surgery (3/18/13). I have a long way to go. I know there will be ups and downs but i will get to or close to my goal weight of 175 lbs.

If you are thinking of bariatric surgery and live in the Boston Ma area I would highly recomend Tufts Medical Center. I had nothing but a positive experience with every aspect of pre surgery, surgery. and post surgery.
