Linkinchik posted a topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I'm at my 1 month post op appt with my surgeon and everything is wonderful! I've lost a total of 41.5 lbs since I began this lifelong journey and 29.5 in the month since my surgery. I am so excited about life and I look forward to doing so much more livin'! As young as I am (22), I feel like I've just had a rebirth and this new me is awesome! -
I was never big on Greek yogurt because it was just too plain-tasting for me. I decided to suck it up and be a grown up and eat the yucky stuff and ya know what? I do believe I'm addicted now lol I bought Chobani 0 percent (1 black cherry and 1 pomegranate) and they were soooo delicious. Unlike the plain kind, these have fruit at the bottom and they have 0 fat, 21g sugar and 14g of Protein per container. Definite win :-)

Can hiatal hernia prevent me from being sleeved

My surgeon fixed my hiatal hernia during surgery so I think you'll be fine -
Haven't had rice yet. Had a few bites of bread today and felt sooo horrible afterwards, I've sworn never again. Ditto for rice and pasta.

how to know when you're full?
Linkinchik replied to nanabanana's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm 20 days post op and find that the first indication of my being full is when I burp. Any bite I take after I burp leads to the feeling of being overly full and makes me nauseous. -
Eggs, oatmeal, fish (broiled)

Head Hunger - Advice from Vets
Linkinchik replied to afitlife4me's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I know exactly what you mean! I'm 9 days post op too and I find myself making more food than I can finish because after 6-8 spoons (with breaks in-between) I feel stuffed and I even get nauseous if I try to eat more. I've started making smaller portions because I tell myself there's no need wasting the food, which is what happens. It gets easier once you consciously think of how little food you're really going to eat, and how much time, effort and $$ you'll save yourself when you don't give in to the head hunger. It's hard but you got this -

Linkinchik replied to mavericksmom's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
8 days post-op, down 16 lbs. Eating soft foods (mashed potatoes, Popsicles, Jello, broth) Feeling top notch except for some stomach upset. This is one of the best decisions I will ever make. Lovin' it! -
