Did anyone get their hair back?
ppasjm replied to mythreechildren2001's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
My daughter was losing her hair so much that it was very thin and she had a bald spot in the front. I was reading about the effects of eating drinking soy products. She had been drinking soy milk for over 4 years! She stopped and now 3 months later, she is no longer loosing hair and I can see a little hair growth on her bald spot. She would have a hand full of hair every time she showered, and now, it's only a few hairs. -
Are Complication Posts Being Deleted

Kat1's profile was somehow mysteriously hacked in July 2012 and all of her posts disappeared! All the posts about her complications! Hmmmm sounds kind of fishy to me! Just sayin' -
Call your insurance company and ask them. They should be able to tell your or send you info on what is covered. Have your doctor send in an estimate of benefits to the insurance company. The insurance company will send you and your doctor an estimated EOB(explanation of benefits). Then you'll have a really close idea of what it will cost.

The use of surgical masks in the OR in Mexico
ppasjm replied to ppasjm's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
I watched actually surgeries, not just ads on Youtube and that's where I saw 2 different surgeries with different doctors. And in both of them the anesthesiologist and a nurse did not have their masks over their noses, just over their mouths. -
The use of surgical masks in the OR in Mexico
ppasjm posted a topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
I've been watching the videos of various doctors in Mexico. I've seen this on several different doctors videos and ads. On more than one occasion, I've notice that there were OR staff with their surgical mask over just their mouths and not over their noses. I even saw one where the surgeon was scrubbing his hands before surgery and didn't have the mask over his nose, just over his mouth. I thought the main reason medical people wear the masks are to reduce the risk of infection for the patient and then the risk to themselves. Am I just being overly sensitive to this or is this a real infection hazard? One doctor in particular has had great reviews, but then I read where somebody came down with C-diff after surgery with him. Granted I have not chosen him for my doctor, but was wondering if other people noticed this and what their opinions were on it. -
I need help from the guys!

Under Armour has some great compression clothing. Kind of pricey, but well worth it in my opinion. My son gave me some of the pants and my legs feel so much better when I wear them for working out. It's like having a mini-massage with every step. I have some flabby(no muscle) thighs and the compression pants work great. -
Video of Dr. Fernando Garcia Performing Sleeve Gastrectomy

Has anybody ever noticed in these surgeries that there are always some people with their surgical masks just over their mouths and not over their noses, too? This is not the only video I've seen this in. There are just as many germs coming out of their noses as their mouths. Anybody have an answer?
