So its ok to have it all done on the same day? Band removal and sleeve procedure? I have to get them both done on the 23rd. Im excited, yet scared. But I am so ready to be able to run around with my babies in the park this summer. I just pray I may be able to calm my nerves.

Hello all, I joined this weekend and have been reading so many posts. I had the lap band in june 2007 and I still have it. On April 23, I will have the lap band removed, and the sleeve preformed on the same day. I am scared, overwhelmed and nervous. I want to be able to enjoy life without the huffing and puffing. I weight more now than before I put the band in. The band was a horrible mistake and I am so afraid of failing this procedure. I saw the anesthesiologist today and he spoke to me about complications and of my heart not resisting surgery. This freaked me out. I do suffer from high blood pressure but Im on 25 milligrams of metropolol which is not a high dosage. I really need words of encouragement because I think Im getting cold feet and might just not do it. I so want to run with my kids and enjoy life with my family.
