I have been obese most of my life. Being in my late 40's I decided I did no want to be fat and 50, but fit and fifty. Out of all my years on this earth, I was probably "fit" for 7 of them. It was time to change that number. After spending many Saturdays in WLS support group with my mother who had the Band, I decided the Sleeve was for me.
I have no regrets about the surgery. It has changed my life. I feel happier, have more energy, I don't let my weight hold me back so much and that's NOW! I can only imagine how it will be when I get to goal!
I am fortunate to have a husband and parents who are extremely supportive of my decision.
I do not have any children. But I do have a dog who I LOVE dearly; he motivates me each morning to get up early and get out there to take him for a walk.
