  9. You might need a new team. I'm not familiar with this insurance process as I was a self pay. But I'm sorry you're having to go through this. Don't give up!
  10. I gave mine away to people I knew would love them and enjoy them (I had very nice clothes too). People would say, "oh it must've been nice getting rid of all your clothes." Um, no. But I'm glad I gave them away to people who enjoy them.

Share a typical days menu, post-op

This is what I ate yesterday (I'm nearly 7 months out): Breakfast: Protein shake, 30g Lunch: egg w/ cheese and a laughing cow wedge mushed in, 12.5g Snack: nearly 1/2 an apple with Peanut Butter, 7g Dinner: chicken and Beans w/ sour cream, 27g Snack: Protein Bar with a 2nd workout, 21g * I try not to do 2 protein supplements in a day, but I've stepped up my workouts quite a bit because of the holidays. I didn't record Christmas Day, so here's the day before: diced peaches and a Babybel , 5g Steak and spinach, 21g Beef Jerky and cashews, 9.5g Tuna and green beans, 23g Quest bar, 21g

  13. YOU make it different. It's not a diet or a program.. It's a big lifestyle change. You have to make healthy decisions every day, and follow your doctors plan. When others say its a tool, that is so right! I think the mental preparation is key to this.
  14. 5. And if you think this will make you like the way you look...
  15. I just ate almost 1/2 an apple!! .. I was just surprised by that. Lol

I did the same 3 days ago. I made a almond butter dip (outta weight loss cooking for dummies)it felt good and so normal. lol

  16. I'm about 12 lbs from goal (will revise goal when I get there- want to be a bit smaller). Nothing like some good before & after pics to remind you how you're doing. Feel free to share y'all oo.
  17. Just let your nurse of doctor know if you have a tampon in. Please! Lol
  18. One in the morning. One in the afternoon.
  19. If you insist on CIB, get the no sugar added (very important!) and add unflavored protein powder.
  20. My surgeon suggested the Flintstones complete- which is what I take. As long as it's ok with your doc, it's good.
  21. Wow! You look fantastic! Like a whole different person- and so happy! Congrats!!!
  22. Outstanding! You look AMAZING!! And great advice!!
  23. It has been 6 months since my VSG.... And I still LOVE my sleeve. Aside from marrying my husband, this is the best thing I've ever done. No regrets... I'm not at all saying its easy. It's not all sunshine and rainbows. The emotional stuff is hard. I look in the mirror and cry sometimes, but the good outweighs the bad completely. I still write down everything I eat. Protein first. I still (and plan to forever) stay away from potatoes, bread, Pasta, and rice. I try my best to take in enough Fluid (notice I said TRY). I still use Protein shakes and bars as Meal Replacements from time to time-- but truth is, I really enjoy them. I exercise 1-2 hours most days a week- walking, jogging, weights, crunches, squats, BodyFlow classes (my new fav), whatever-- but tonight is my first belly dancing class. Wow, never would've done that before! As of this week I am 92 lbs down and officially "overweight!" I have 8 lbs until I meet my original goal of 100 lbs GONE! (But I'll probably revise and lower that goal). I can't explain how much I truly love this lifestyle-- the workouts, the food choices, the energy... Just feeling so good. Oh , and the sex hehe, sorry. Info: Age: 26 Ht: 5 ft (4' 11.5") Sleeved on 6/11/2013 Highest weight: 245 Surgery weight: 240 Current weight: 148 Largest size in my closet; 24. Most days I fit a 20-22. Currently size 12.
