    Hair! :)

I use Nioxin as well and take biotin.
  2. For a couple weeks I felt some weakness. But that went away. I have more energy than ever now. I exercise quite a bit (mainly running). It's fabulous.
  3. Just read everything: the good stuff AND the bad stuff. These stories might help you gauge if you're ready or not. Good luck!

    Popcorn dangerous after WLS?

Def a slider (but not the WORST thing you can eat.) I'd say to measure it for sure if you REALLY wanted it. I've heard this about bypass but never the sleeve.
  11. My Doc actually asked me, "Do you WANT to go any lower?" Um, heck yeah. Lol. I want to be as close to a healthy BMI as possible with losing any muscle. I know I'll have to go lower with those pretty scale numbers, I guess it's just a mind game. I got this.
  12. So.... I'm nearly 7 months post op and I've met every one of my surgeon's weight loss goals so far (GO ME!!). But for some reason this next one scares me: 137 lbs. That's 13 pounds in 4 months. Seems reasonable... BUT my mind can't wrap itself around that number. I've never been my current weight (146), so can't imagine 130s!! And to top it off, people (even my cheerleaders along the way) have been giving me the "don't lose too much weight now!" lately. Or the "so when you're going to stop?" Gag. But the recent positives: - my surgeon seems very pleased with my progress and exercise choices. - my hair loss has slowed - and I really haven't had any big set backs or complications

    sugar-free juices?

Fruits have sugar... I've never heard of this??

    Struggling

I love crack, oh, I mean Quest bars! My fav is the chocolate chip cookie dough ones. I also like the apple pie, banana nut, strawberry cheesecake, and pb&j. The only one I don't like is the cinnamon roll one, but then, I never like cinnamon rolls. I find they are really easy to eat. And please, just choke down your water.
  15. During my TOM, I either don't lose or even gain a lb or two. It comes off right after. It's normal to retain a little. It's ok. Don't let it discourage you, just keep doing what you're supposed to do.
  16. As I'm getting closer to goal, I'm thinking more and more about plastic surgery. I'm looking forward to looking like a somewhat normal person (naked). Hehe. Since I found my VSG surgeon from y'all lovely people, I thought I'd ask about cosmetic surgeons as well... Has anyone had plastic surgery in Louisiana? Which Dr did you use? Who would you recommend or not recommend?? I realize there was once a forum for plastics, but I can't seem find it since the site changed. Thanks in advance!

    Plastic surgery in Louisiana

I live in Thibodaux. So NOLA, Baton Rouge, Lafayette is all close enough. I've heard of Dr. Wall as well.

    Before and after pictures please!

We were probably in stretchers right next to each other! Lol. That's amazing. And I see we have similar starting points & height. I actually see Dr. Borland tomorrow. Can't wait. And thank you!
