    Dr. Kelly

I had my surgery with dr. Kelly on 9/9/2013. And it went GREAT. Not one single complication or side effect. The whole experience was wonderful. He is a very skilled surgeon with tons of experience with this surgery. I have nothing but good things to say about him. You will be in great hands! Pm me anytime if you have questions
  2. Hi everyone. I thought I'd check in with a progress pic. I was sleeved 9/9/2013 SW was 262 and current weight is 200.6. Sooooo close to onederland....very exciting! Good luck to those who have been recently sleeved and to those who are still waiting....it is so worth it! No regrets by far. Not the best pictures, but the best I have right now

  4. I had my surgery 3 days ago at Nova hospital with Dr. Kelly. I cannot say enough good things about both the Dr. and the hospital. Dr. Kelly is a very wonderful, smart, skilled surgeon whom I truly admire. He's been to see me numerous times already and I expect to see him one last time before I leave. He also spent time with my mother to reassure her and that meant the world to the both of us. When I arrived at the hospital, I was disappointed as it looked shabby. But the inside was immaculately clean and organized and very well run. All of the nurses were wonderful and attentive. Some spoke broken English and others none at all but that was never an issue. They would be in to check bp and IV fluids very regularly, to change the bed linens or to just to see how I was feeling. Very impressed with the whole experience. I had A LOT of gas immediately after the procedure, which was terrible to say the least. So there was a ton of buyers remorse along with that. I also had nausea and did vomit twice. That may have come from the pain meds, not too sure, but it sucked. The next night was SO MUCH BETTER , I slept the whole night and i felt like a new person. Now I have minor gas pains and a couple of weepy moments thinking of the long road ahead. But I'm sure that once I start seeing results and am able to eat mushies, it will all be worth it. Looking very forward to that! Just thought I'd share my story because I know how much I enjoyed reading everyone else's while still in the pre op stage
  5. Thank you, thank you, thank you! You have no idea how much you just helped my mood. I'm 4 days post op and feeling A little down but you have honestly given me so much hope for a normal life in the near future.

  12. Another Canadian here with a September 9th surgery date with dr. Kelly in TJ. Nova hospital and hotel Lucerna! Very excited but I'll be honest...I'm finding that I'm second guessing my decision sometimes. Looking forward to it all being over and the recovery being a distant memory. And I'll be doing all my remembering in the skinniest jeans I can squeeze into Anyone know how to start a group on fb? Seems to be lots of September 9'ers out there...it would be nice to compare and ask each other questions along the way!

    Anyone going to MX soon?

I'm scheduled with dr. Kelly on September 9th at nova hospital. Would love to hear about your experience so far . Hope all went well and that you have a very speedy recovery!
  16. September 9th for me too! In Tijuana MX. . I am very excited but I will admit that I do have moments of "can I really do this?". But the answer is YES! Yes I do love food but so does everyone else here or we wouldn't be in this situation in the first place. So I tell myself "self, if they can do it, so can you!!"
