When i was in the hospital they gave me a bariatric bear i could hold against my stomach when i needed to sneeze, cough, or even get up off the couch...it really helped alot...even a firm pillow would do.
had my 2 week post op visit with my doctor. everything is going better than expected. returned to work 4 days after surgery. i'm down a total of 25lbs since pre-op diet and was released to regular foods and exercise...yay...i cant wait to go to zumba again.
I have a desk job as well. My surgery was on Tuesday the 16th and I went back to work on Saturday the 20th. I found that lots of walking helps with the gas pain. Other than that i have not experienced pain. Once ny pain pump was out i did not take any of the prescribed pain mess from my Dr. Overall, i think i have had a very easy transition. I just have to get used to my new stomach.
Uh oohhh..I hope that my after care is not like that..crossing fiingers..I had a GM and Exec Chef that both went to Dr Atkinson and had great reviews. One had the sleeve and one had the gastric bypass. I wanted to go there as well but I was referred to Blossom Bariatrics from the Oband center. I havent run into any problems yet, everyone has been so nice.
Congratulations on being pregnant...As the saying goes, everything happens for a reason! A higher power had a better plan for you. Good Luck in your preganancy.
