  1. It’s a special day here at BariatricPal, according to your profile..it’s your birthday. Happy Birthday, 1stBabeBorn5th!

  2. Lol but why? You won't drastically lose lbs by peeing or pooping. If anything you are setting yourself up for disappointment for the next time you eat or drink and see a gain. At minimum, weigh once a week. PS...mascara weighs a ton so....just kidding

    surgery day june 6th,

You're good! I'd be happy if I got in about 25g Og protein. Sigh
  4. I do have thread sticking it off two of my incisions. I thought that was the weirdest thing. I'm afraid to pull them
  5. I had cream of wheat in the hospital so I came home eating oft foods like that. Some things didn't go over well but it was a learning process. 2 weeks it is when I got the official word that I can have the pureed foods

To All My Fellow June Sleevers........

Yes. I had some Fro Yo that seemed like the Devil made himself. It was delish though. Lol
  7. 3 weeks out and zero problems. No vomiting, no pain pills after release from hospital (maybe 2), very little nausea and a 30+ pound weight loss. I'm happy!

GIVING a massage one week post-op?

Welp...today was the event and I felt well enough to do it. I did sit down for most of the massages (chair massages only) and only about 5 standing up. I think I did 12 massages total and felt completely fine.

    Bruises!?

I have about 7 "call the authorities because this woman is clearly in a domestic situation" bruises on the backs of both my arms. That's where they injected the blood thinner every 8 hours for the 3 days I was there. You forget they are there until someone's sweet granny walks up and says "be strong, you can leave" and walks away.

    June surgery dates

I had my surgery on 6/7. I packed my robe and comfy pj bottoms...never touched them. I couldn't put my arm in my robe with my iv anyway. Backwards robe it is! Plus, I didn't want to have any blood stains on my robe so it was easier. I never put anything on my lower half. I had a catheter for a day and a half so no need. I kept my phone, which my daughter said I would give a mean "heroine nod" after pushing my pain pump. She said I'd be mid- text and my hand would slowly drift down into my lap and my head into my chest. Lol...no need for gadgets. All I needed and USED was my toothbrush, toothpaste (and you didn't need that!), my contacts, glasses, phone and charger and one pair of undies for the ride home. THAT WAS IT. They have towels and washcloths, shower gel, baby oil, body lotion and mouthwash along with the toothbrush and paste. There was enough on the tv to keep me entertained between nods so, that was it.

To All My Fellow June Sleevers........

I am 5 days post op. Getting over the minor pain of swallowing too much it too fast is my biggest issue. Tonight, I had cream of wheat. I had yogurt earlier along with a small Soup and Apple juice. Getting out of the bed is a little interesting. I say have someone videotape you for future laughs.
  12. I am sleeved! Happy Birthday to me!

    Ok 6/7ers...Are you ready?

I'm trying to return on the 19th. I'm washing clothes and just looking lost. Lol
  14. Is anyone else during on the side of the bed wondering "where do I start? What the hell am I doing?" What are you taking? Are you nervous?
