canadianchick replied to canadianchick's topic in Revision Weight Loss Surgery Forums (NEW!)
Wow your the first and only response !! I just had mine done on Feb 12th. I am in quite a bit of pain, finding it a little hard to breathe. Did you have any pain or this much pain? -
Hi all, I just had my surgery on the 12th in Mexico. I had a revision from vsg to a bypass. I was discharged the next day. I am in alot of pain still and it's hard to breathe and stand up right. Has anyone experienced this? When can I expect to feel better?

VSG to RNY anyone?
canadianchick replied to bariatric puzzle's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
Hi guys. Is RNY a bypass? Sorry if it's a dumb question but I am having a revision from a VSG to a bypass...my surgery is this Tuesday in PV and I am so scared this time around. Thankfully I don't have severe acid reflux but I didn't really lose much weight at all with the VSG. I am doing self pay in Mexico. Does anyone have any advice for me? -

VSG to Bypass
canadianchick replied to canadianchick's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
keish_lorraine the reason I say it was/is unsuccessful is because I have only lost about 40lbs total (that includes 21 lbs lost pre op) I had the surgery a year ago. KristinaRNY I hope they share their story with me...I am so scared of pushing my luck ya know....I am thinking of having it done by Dr. Joya in PV Febuary 11th, 2014. Lovinglife thank you for sharing your story...I hope your pain subsides soon. I had no pain after my VSG so I am afraid that I am gonna be in alot of pain this time -
Hi all, has anyone gone from having a vsg to a bypass ? I had my vsg done a year ago and it was not successful. So now my only option is to have a bypass revision.

Post op 6 months
canadianchick replied to sylva_775's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm 6 months out too...I've been stalled for months I thought I was the only one. I am so discouraged at this point. I've even tried going back to liquids for a bit. Still the same so I feel your pain ! -
Hi all, I am hoping and praying for some help here. I am 6 months out (self pay Mexico) I just don't know what to eat. I don't like fish, seafood or eggs so I am struggling with what I should be eating (balanced). I usually have a small spinach salad with some pumpkin seeds and dried cranberries...I make a dressing of balsamic vinegar and olive oil. I snack on raw fruit or yogurt or some goldfish crackers. I still have a protein shake in the morning and try to get in my water, some days are better then others. If anyone can offer any advice I would appreciate it. I have been stalled for months
