How mamy posts are required for veteran forum?

Ok. I thought it was just a year too but when I try to post it says I don't have enough posts. Thanks for the help. -
Wow. You look great!!

I still have to remind myself to slow down. It's funny how often I will order an appetizer and still think I will take it home and eat more later. That "later" never happens. Then I see other people eating a whole sandwich- I won't lie sometimes I wish I could eat even half a sandwich with a side and not have to choose between one or the other. But I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world and I'm not complaining at all.

Is Change Really Possible?

I agree with what every one is saying. Can I ask- are your friends overweight? It's interesting to see how people treat me now that I am thin. Like if I eat a chip or a chicken wing I can see them checking to see how much I eat. And I too feel like if I gain 1 single pound like I have gained back 90. I know I haven't it's just the fear I have of reverting back to old days when I would lose 10 and gain 20. -
The doctor I work with is Dr. Robert Freund. His office is at 103 east end avenue, New York. It is the corner of 87th and East End Avenue. He is a board certified plastic surgeon and really cares about his practice and his work. He does an awesome neck and face lift as well as tummy tuck which he did for me. I had a breast lift as well. He has written two books which you can find online.

I am a nurse. I do private duty nursing for a plastic surgeon in NYC. He is an excellent surgeon and specializes in face and neck lifts. He's really quite meticulous and I have yet to meet anyone that is unhappy with the results. If you would like info I am happy to share privately. He did my tummy tuck and breast lift in April after 90 pound loss. I don't have a before pic but will show you the selfies I took last week.

Post plastic surgery weight gain
skinnygirl2b replied to LilBoo007's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
I thought I was the only unlucky one who gained weight after tummy tuck and breast lift. I am also a nurse and I know it's the Fluid. But oddly enough every time I gain even a pound or two I feel like I gained back the 90 pounds I just lost. All head games. My surgery was in April and my tummy is really flat but doctor says there is still swelling and it will still go down more. This was a selfie last week. Wish I had before pics to show. -
So funny. Great sense of humor. Look forward to seeing.

I work in a hospital and check in patients for surgery. I love to meet patients of my surgeon before they go to surgery. I always show them before pictures and they can never believe it. We have to weigh everyone day of surgery and I love to tell them "are you ready to never see this number again?" Gets them all so excited. Needless to say I tell everyone that's interested. Several people have approached me about it and it makes me feel good to help and encourage somebody. There will always be negativity but the good will always outweigh the bad.

Looking for Plastic Surgeon in Bergen County, NJ or NYC
skinnygirl2b replied to LumpySpacePrincess's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Hi. I just had a tummy tuck and breast lift. I am one week post-op. I work for the plastic surgeon that did my surgery so I have seen a lot of his work and trusted him totally. His office is on the upper east side in NYC. He has an incredible bedside manner. He is not the most expensive but also not the cheapest but by far the best work I have seen. I am a nurse and take care of all of his patients first day post op in a hotel. Feel free to ask me any questions or pm me if you want his name and number. I couldn't be happier with my results and at one week post op you can imagine everything is still so swollen and bruised. -
Should have thought about this before I started this challenge. My weight is 148 which is up 3 pounds. I had tummy tuck and breast lift last week ----so I should have sat this one out knowing I would gain weight from surgical fluid and swelling. Is there a plastic surgery forum- I am curious how long this will last?

Same thing happened to me. I tell my surgeon how I'm sure the numbers are wrong. He tells me the sleeve can help you lose 40-60 percent of excess body weight. I think I'm not far off from others and I have lost almost 100 percent of my excess body weight. He tells me I am the exception and not the norm and that most people only lose max of 65 percent of excess body weight. -
I would call your sleeve surgeon. My sleeve surgeon also diagnosed and removed my gall bladder 6 months later. If he/she doesn't remove gall bladders they can tell you if the referral you got was a good one to see. I wouldn't wait though- those attacks were brutal and mine got worse as time went on.

All of what you say is so true. I have to catch myself because if I gain even a few ounces I feel heavy all over again. And then I have my fitness pal to look back at the patterns of weight loss and how far I've come. This month will be my one year anniversary and I am less than 5 pounds from my goal weight.
