Protein in My Urine?

Haha don't be a bread crumb hater. In the bible it says to eat unleven bread. It cleans the body geez. -

My first instinct to the sleeve was staples really? Restriction alone didn't sell me. It was the reduction of the hunger hormone. But that didn't happen for me. I'm Really disappointed. -

I had acid taste in my mouth for a few days around week 3 but when I ate a piece of toast and puked it went away.

I just had aloe Vera juice straight up nasty. But good for me hopefully. It tastes like fleet oral enema if you've ever had that. Except with a planty aftertaste so you don't puke. Anyway if my problem is due to a leak or acid this will take care of both. I have 2 liters. Don't wheez the juice. -

Thanks for your reply. It helps. I get the same way. I think its all about how and where the stomach is cut. But it could be something else. I watched so many vids and did so much research before my surgery. I also researched my doc. Its just so unbelievable I could be even more hungry than before and still fit a lot of food in without tension. -

I wish it would of worked for me. I will find out what went wrong when I can. My extreme appetite and little restriction is what is messing me up. I don't think my surgeon got the hormone producing area of my stomach. Make sure your surgeon removes the fundus. I'm going to have to see a local doc and get some xrays and scans. -

I'm not trolling as I am not a troll. I'm just the average Joe that the sleeve doesn't work for. I eat when I'm hungry. Plain and simple. You can eat chicken or fish fastfood once in awhile as long as its protein based. I don't do fries or sides. I'm not a robot. I don't have the time for judging people or name calling. I wanted to offer my objective opinion from someone who has had no appetite reduction whatsoever. But when you have hardly any appetite how can you relate to someone who does? Maybe my surgery was not done correctly. I'm looking into it. Til than I hope I helped the minority and gave them a voice. -

Gastric sleeve is like a lotto ticket. Sometimes you win big sometimes you lose big and everything in between. I'm going to say this as my final answer. If you have insurance go for it. If you are cash pay like me go camping with 1000 protein shakes. Have up to 5 a day And by the time you come back you will have had the same or better results. Its a whole lot cheaper. -

Yes I know. That's what I could afford I had a coupon. I'm not going to say my diet is for everyone. But I have had protein most of the time and I am down to cheap carbs right now. At least the pizza had cheese that's protein. The mini wheat are for fiber. You can't just do protein all the time its not healthy. And who knows health better than the good people a Kellogg's. That's American jobs I'm supporting. Just so you know I do have a resupply of protein shakes coming tomorrow. But its only going to last me as long as it lasts me. -

Thanks for your replies. I don't agree with eating only protein. Anyone who does is harming their kidneys ans kidney stones are a big deal for men. More pain I don't need. -

I do eat healthy most of the time. But sometimes I can't. The point is I shouldn't be so starving that I'm forced to make a bad decision. This surgery was supposed to fix that. I'm on a budget. And I eat through my proteins too quickly. Its hunger pure and simple. Maybe you can fight it when you are in your teens and 20s but when you are an old man like me forget about it. -

I regret it. First of all the recovery was awful. I am going to have to have further tests and surgery which I can't afford. Complications are enormous. I don't know how this surgery is even allowed it is prehistoric. Cut and staple. What could go wrong. Only everything. I am glad I did this though for one reason. Now I know the truth and can move forward. Too much hype on this one. I can eat like before and I'm always hungry after the sleeve empties. I am starting week 7. I had 2 whole pieces of cheese pizza back to back. I chewed slow and waited than an hour later a TV dinner. This is ridiculous. Oh yeah hope you like tea. Lots and lots and lots of tea. Get a few barrels on tap. Lots of pain and almost null weight loss for me so far. I don't have the money or ability to specialty shop all the time. I had this surgery for appetite suppression and restriction. It failed. The only weight I lost was when I was on liquids. I could of done that for less than 500.00. And a few weeks at a hotel. Gee whiz. What a scam. -
I went off my acid reducer just a few days ago
boobyholes replied to boobyholes's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Wow a year? Even on the bottle it says continuing for over 2 weeks is not recommended. But I'm no doctor. The stomach produces more acid to compensate over time. I'd hate to go off them after a year, good lord. -

Its been over a month since I've been taking the ppis but I read an article saying it can lead to dependency. So I'm off them now. No reflux to report. So I think I stopped in time. Don't take your plus too long folks especially if you never had reflux to begin with. My doctor said it was OK to stop. Some docs make you do it for 3 months. That's rediculous. Unless you have severe reflux. But try aloe Vera juice instead.
