so on another note, do any of you guys have to battle the meal plan issue. I have the biggest problem finding things that are healthy and don't lead to pbing on my meal plan. any ideas?
2. I cant eat anything in the morning until I have a pot of hot tea. The worst thing so far are these really good pigs in a blanket that my mom makes, both times i ate them i felt sick for days. The second worst is when i forget to eat, then remember that i am hungry and try to scarf something down, arg. Or if i cook dinner and snack while i am cooking, then try to sit down and eat with the family.

Any Younger Bansters Here?

I decided to stop lurking. I am 19(So I guess I am still young, even though it feels like sometimes I am much older, ‘cause I carry around a whole other person with me, and even though I am college student) I am getting banded this Friday (June 22). I am so excited. Congrats for all the wls. You guys are doing awesome. I hope to share my amazing wls soon.

June 2007 Bandsters

hI all i finally decided to stop lurking :peep:and join the thread. I am all set for my procedure on June 22. I am so excited to hear all of your successes. I was not nervous at all until i went in to the hospital yesterday to do the pre-op blood work, and get "pre-registered" and all that, and one of the nurses asked me if i had a living will, and if i was an organ donor.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> I know it is procedure, but for some reason a person wearing scrubs asking me questions like that make me nervous. And then one of the nurses (who was at most a size 8) said "I don't understand why you are doing this, you have such a pretty face.":angry I some how managed to remain calm. That is why i am doing it so no one ever again feels the need to qualify what about me is pretty. wow...this turned into a rant....sry, and a little smilie crazy i guess what i meant to say is good luck to all, and thanks posting, it really helps that other people know what you are going through. :huggie:

Help Finding Cute Clothes...

I love target they have all kinds of plus sized clothes, plus i can usually find long dress/shirt like things and leggins ect. there for almost nothing, and they almost always have xxl and xxxl
9. I have my second pre-op appointment next week, and will be having surgery on the 22 of June. I guess I should confess my history with being overweight. I tried weight watchers for the first time when I was eight years old, and have been trying every diet known to man since. My mother has gastric bypass a few years ago and is now thin for the first time in her life. My mother and I decide, after a 30 pound weight gain after my first year at college, that I should go ahead and do something that we know works. I am so excited about lap-band, because I am so young (only 19) I was concerned about the side effects of gastric, but this seems like a much better alternative. My only concern with the band is it failing, like all of these other diets I have tried have, but I am trying to have faith.
