    mini update.

I was getting super sick from the whey proteins - violently and explosively. I switched to Jay Robb egg white protein powder. It has 25g protein and zero off smell and sits fine. You can get it at Whole Foods. I recommend trying the sample pack they sell to see if you like it. It's the only protein I can stomach. I, too, thought Premier was tolerable pre-surgery, but made me sick post and grossed me out with that foul whey smell. Amazon also sells the Jay Robb if you don't have a Whole Foods nearby.

march sleevers the good and the bad

It seems like a lot of us are in the puréed/soft foods phase. I have a random question. Do you have to purée the tuna salad and the chicken salad? Thanks!

    Post-op diet progressions

Mine is as follows: Week 1: clear liquids Week 2: full liquids (protein shakes, strained creamy soups, drinkable yogurt) Weeks 3-6: soft/puréed foods (yogurt, cottage cheese, puréed meats) Week 7 on: introduce all foods

march sleevers the good and the bad

I was sleeved on March 18. Surgery went well, but day 2 was horrible with Violent dry heaving. They fixed that, though, anc was discharged the 20th Feeing much, much better. Was walking over a mile a day when git home. I'm down 15 pounds so super happy about that! Whey protein was giving me tummy issues and was afraid of dehydration, so protein intake has not be spectacular. I did get in 50g so far today, though, which is better than yesterday. I just have one incision that's really sore, on my right side. Hurts to tie my right sneaker when going walking. Love my sleeve so far and cannot wait until Monday for puréed food and protein from real food!
