I just posted this as a question on another board. I am single and I am worried but not in a bad way. I guess nervous. I was always a size 8-10 and then got fat. I know what the other side is but my self esteem was awful (thinking that's what got me here). I always get "you have such a beautiful face" from men. Which is code for - you'd be hot if you we're thinner. I feel like this was the journey I had to go on and that as my surgery date grows closer, I am looking in the mirror and seeing this I do like about myself. and that once I'm feeling better and not: feeling squished on a plane, shopping in the plus section, scanning the room for someone fatter then I am, being out of breath on stairs... I will be that confident person. And I won't worry "why" guys are talking to me now that haven't before. I'm still me. I'm the same person but I'm not invisible. I will be the girl who turns heads instead of walking behind my friends. And...I'm total ok with that. I think as you lose you will find yourself and whatever insecurities you have might improve and your relationship will be even more amazing because you will be happier all around. Looking on a few posts saw that a few of us still how our prom dresses. Mine is from 1996! I have these two dresses and my goal is to retake these ASAP and fit into it. Who's with me? (Uh I was going to upload photos but its not working)

I actually almost bought a shirt in a "normal" size today. My surgery is in 34 days. But I actually chickens out and thought that if I did it I would "wake up" from the fact that shopping in normal sizes is an actual reality. I decided to wait until I actually fit into it - since it was almost 200.

I actually have my mom bringing my 1996 prom dress with her. I will get into that again

I did the same thing. I'm 34 days away from surgery. I got rid off everything! I'm trying to dig up my fattest stuff!

Oh and I want to add you guys! Also although I did tell close friends and family, I never say anything on fb about the surgery. I'll probably end up eventually but for now ( I guess until after I'm all "skinny and hot".) I just basically say I'm going to diet and exercise and I have a goal.
