Does anyone regret this surgery?
patsybrown replied to Wenniegirl's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm 8 months out and down 70 pounds. I went from a size 20 to a size 8. I thought I was going to die the first two days. Since then I have thanked God everyday for giving me this gift. It was a magic bullet. I would do it again and again! No regrets. Just keep the faith and don't give up. It will get easier and easier. The point of the surgery was to take away your craving for food and to reduce the amount of your food intake. I drank lots of decaf ice tea with Splenda and GNC brand of protein shakes. And, water popsicles. I eat anything I want now. Just small portions. And, I'm still losing. You will be fine. Imagine walking into The Gap and pulling on a pair of button fly cords in a size 8 with room to spare. It's all worth it. I promise! -
I now have a lot of skin on my upper arms. And if I didn't have the inner tube around my hips, I could be in a size 8 by now. Why do I have to wait if I have the money to get it done now??
-
When they take your tube out the pain will be better. Day 2 I thought I was going to die too. No kidding. But now I'm down 55 pounds and am wearing a size 12. I have 15 pounds to meat my goal and I know I will get there. Hang on!!

Will the "biggest losers" pls tell your story?

Sleeve! It's much less complicated for your system. The second day I thought I was going to die. But, 4.5 months and 50 pounds later I know it's the best decision I have ever made! -
Wow, you look great!! I hope I look half as good... Congrats on the new little one!!

I'm 8 weeks post sleeve. The surgeon opened it more and cleaned it out the first time and said I had a hematoma. The next time, the WLS doc said it was a build up of Fluid tat had not dissipated yet. Now it's open again with blood coming out. What is up?? Help... -

Eight weeks out and notice change in appetite
patsybrown replied to cocosammy's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
OMG, I was trying to figure out how to say this. 8 weeks out and all of the sudden the thought of food makes me gag. I'm nauseous!! I went to the ER and was dehydrated and my pancreas levels were elevated. 2 bags of Fluid and I'm still really sick! I have great from Day 1 until now... -
I simply can't get enough fluids in. And not that it's summer, I'm outside all the time. Drains me even more. My surgeon sent me to the ER for fluids but I was there 2 hours and there were still 15 people ahead of me. I left... How can I get caught up enough on my own. Or, should I go back to the ER? Help please...
