I got the same thing just now, clovermeg. Hubby said it's a Russian Soldier? Scary. How do we get it to stop? I hurried and pused the New posts list before the main page sreen switched to the hack. Paula, I know what a hacker/hack is but I don't think I could put it into words. Someone is messing with LBT though. Things that make you go, hmmmmmmmm.

No biggie Jorjet. It's been a helluva week, or two, month? SIGH. Peace and Love back at 'cha.

You are in a public place (a restaurant) and you are talking and eating and you swallow something you didn't chew well enough, and the pressure in your chest forces you to the restroom...pacing...am I gonna PB? Oh please, go down, go down, lift arms overhead, take a deep breath, ohhhhh, pace, pace. Is that what you meant, Wheetsin? LOL Hope that helps!

Gone For Good Club - September 2006

Paula...176.6 this morning. I'm fairly certain this is a new low. Here's the deal-io though. Unexplained restriction. (warning...TMI to follow) Over 2 weeks ago, the day I started my period, I woke up with more restriction. Normal, right? Yup, for me, but it usually goes away by day 4 or 5 after I start. It hasn't gone away. Not that I'm complaining..but it's odd. I'm really having to be more careful with the size of my bites and the extra careful chewing. And still, I get the first-bite-syndrome thing going. I have PBd once in the last 2 weeks. I have been drinking my aloe vera juice at bedtime, too. But the restriction is still there. I quit eating because it's too much trouble, and have been resorting to junk on occasion. Cheetoes (Susan4794 and Stitchy! btw, cheetoes get dipped in the ice cream here...LOL j/k) and still, I'm seeing some results. I'm not complaining about restriction, or resulting weight loss...promise! but the restriction is unexplained and then I go down the "am I eroded?" road...ugh. It's hard not to do that...get paranoid about band problems. Anyhow, I'm happy with my new low and hope I can see 175 in the next week. Now for the Cheetoes! Let's get rid of those suckas!! Actually, what I did was bought a bag and as soon as I got home, I emptied the bag into snack bags for lunch boxes. Problem solved. Right? Let's hope, or SOMEone in our house isn't getting cheetoes for lunch anymore! LOL -

Heathergurl is the new conductor for the GFG September train. Joyce decided against it, so Heather re-posted here. She had to start the thread so she can edit and keep the stats updated. You are in the right place. It took me forEVER, it seems, to get out of the 180's but I'm finally there. Sometimes, I'm less than 180 at night...WOOT! but I have never been lower than 177 point something. (wait, have I seen 176.8? if so, I haven't seen it since) so keep chugging away. You can do it! :clap2: -
the GOOD kind of smart-ass. :heh: Ever see Steel Magnolias? Great Flick.
-
Very good, BJean! Spoken like a true smart-ass! (in my very best Southern-Steel-Magnolia's accent)

Dody, 3loves?, DeLarla (again), Lisa Bones (again), Fitter, and Photonut. That's all I know of, correct me if I'm wrong and I'll edit...don't want to start rumors.

Here we are, ya'll! Let's do this! -
Hey natenate. Give us a sec to regroup...we lost our fearless leader for Spetember, so we will probably start another thread or something? Need to work out the details. For now, give us a little info about yourself, an introduction! And see page 1 of this thread for "how the GFG club works". Welcome! Joyce, I'm so sorry. I hate that LBT is compared to OH. I have heard horror stories about that site, and here we are, I'm sorry to see you go. Could you at least check back in on occasion? Take care of yourself. You know what's best for you. (((hugs)))

But no Rule Breaking!!!! LOL

Okay, is this the place everyone will be ranting and raving about our recent dismissals? Come one everyone, this is Rant and Raves, let it all out!
-
Excellent work, Wheetsin! I kept seeing your thread, but was waiting for the little paper clip that indicates pics have been posted...still waiting! Pics please!!!!!! Congrats.
-
Thanks for the update. Can't wait to hear from you Lots! Congrats on your successful surgeries. Praying that the worst is behind you and you get speedy healing!!!

No kidding? scary. -
Unfortunately, this weekend is the opening day for Dove Season. Looks like I'm holding down the fort while hubby runs off the have fun...if you can call shooting Doves fun? eeewwwww. Family is all coming over Sat night for my sister's step-son's 14th birthday party...the "boring" party for him. But he'll get lots of cards with money anyway! Not much else but the same old stuff, which isn't horrible, by any means, but nothing spectacular. I wanna see pics!
-
Well said. All should play the game fairly and by the rules, as requested. I don't think I'll play, but can I watch?
-
YES! I agree, and I find her analogy a tad sobering, despite the hilarity. Don't go and take your posts with you, Leatha! You KNOW all this simmers down after a bit. For a bit, anyway. :ermm

I wonder when the dividend check will arrive?! LOL That'd shore be nice! I don't take it if I'm not having problems. It certainly doesn't hurt to take it for no good reason than you think you ought to, for soothing and healing purposes. Plenty of bandsters (puuulenty!) have never had aloe vera juice and they are just fine. It worked so well for me when I had the burning esophogus a few months into banding, I'm sold on it. Thanks for the bump 3loves...I forgot I wrote all that and I still get PMs about aloe vera juice, so I can just link them here! Easy cheesy!:clap2:

I don't do it, and you don't have to. Some folks like the checking off the list every day. It helps you stay on track, then at the end of the month, whoever has the most points wins a "medal" to put in their sig. Cool! But it's too much for me. You copy and paste the scorecard onto a post, then go in daily and edit, checking off your points as you go. You just gotta remember what page your scorecard is on so you can find it quick. Make sense?
-
Tonya, here's a thread that might interest you. You may have already seen it, and I'm not sure what your BMI is, but I'm betting it's good reading anyway. Rock on, girl! http://www.lapbandtalk.com/showthread.php?t=16168

Yup, good advice Karen. Hold out. Too tight stinks! And doesn't work.
-
You go, Joyce! Have fun with September!! Hey La Madam...4 pounds gained since Nov?! Don't beat yourself up! I'm so glad you are here to inspire and I know you'll get all the support you need. Rock on! Hi everybody!

Anyone want to talk about the Lap-Band?
the best me replied to aaamom's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Neither, it's too heavy for you. Stick to mushier foods. Your band isn't ready for it yet, give it another week, or even just a few days. Or put the ricoota on a cracker. Did you toast the english muffin? The english muffin is your trouble. That's what I think anyway.
