Huh? Okay, this thread has been officially hijacked. Thanks for getting us back to reality, Christina! LOL I was confused for a second...weren't we talking about cute docs? Who's Court? What restriction?!!! I'm here now!!!:laugh

Ugh, I keep hovering around the 188 mark. This is maddening. I gotta join Curves again... I may not be able to come Sat. This would be the first get-together I will have missed! Rachel has a game (cheerleading) AND a birthday party to go to in Mooresville! I need to talk with hubby about it. He can take both kids to the game, but in order for me to get back to take her to the party, I'd have to leave lunch at 12:30. Arrowood to Denver to Moorseville. It's just alot of driving for not being able to sit and enjoy, plus leaving hubby with 2 kids at a basketball game. He can handle it, but...I dunno, I hate to miss but it's too much! I'm not going to think about it until after Wed. I have to lead the ladies Bible Study that night  and I'm "Nerval" as my sister says. I go on and on and on...I'll let you know how it all pans out.

Oh! There's Dr K!! He's cute!!! These guys are so young! I found a pic of Dr B, too. His hair is lighter than I remember...yep, surfer boy! LOL
-
Okay, call me wierd, but I think Dr V is very cute! He's frat boy preppie. Oh yeah! I haven't seen Dr B. or Dr K. yet...wait, I've seen a pic of Dr B but it's been a loooong time. ??? You guys crack me up! Here's the link to Dr Kuri. He's older and fatherly, kind and handsome. www.beliteweight.com Okay, his website changed, he has a pic of Drs. Morales and Dr. Espinosa with him. Kuri is the larger man on the left. If you "click here to continue" a close-up comes up. He looks heavy-set in the pics but when I met him in person, his waist is very small, his chest is big, he looks like he gets lots of good exercise. Anyhow, MY doctor is the CUTEST!!! LOL

hehe, I hadn't noticed! You know, you can Edit your post by clicking on the Edit button that comes up on each or your posts...just correct the spelling, save changes....errr, you knew that, didntcha?!

Look on the Blue Bar along the top of the LBT page...there is a link to "New Posts" which gives a list of all of the newest posts from all of the Forums. OR, when you open a Forum, for example "Support" you see the threads listed from newest to oldest. Threads with recent replies are at the top. When some one "Bumps" a thread, they post a reply, and cause the thread to go to the top of the lists, and it's able to be seen, rather than being buried under pages and pages of newer thread activity. You might never have found this thread if it hadn't been "bumped" to the first page of posts In the General Discussion Forum. Did I 'splain that good enough? LOL Oh, and threads that are "Stickied" stay at the top all the time, so folks can find them easily. Look for challenges at the tops of the forums for weighing weekly, etc.

Wow, how'd you get so smart, dawg? I hadn't thought of that! Great idea!

Hang in there, Dawn, you'll get it! One thing I have realized is that no matter what "diet" you do, the band makes it possible to follow it week after week after month. I'd always fizzle out before and gain the weight back. Now, if I fizzle out (such as counting points for WW or whatever) my band keeps me in check and my weight loss is waiting for me when I'm ready. I'm not back at square one! So take advantage of Nutrisystems, or whatever! till you get to the point where you can exercise a bit easier. And remember...ANYTHING you do extra is exercise. Park farther away, walk to get the mail instead of stopping from the car, just take a stroll as the days get a bit longer. You have lost a whopping 41 pounds since August! I think that's excellent! Welcome to LBT. You'll get the hang of this board in no time. Just keep checking back. Hey Laura...Feel2Young2B40! I remember you! Good to see you! Menopause?! Really?!!!!! Get to that gym and build some good muscles! You go girl!.

Happy Belated Birthday! I know you're out there! Come say hellooooo!!!
-
Good for you Phyllis! Sounds like you have perfect restriction...you can eat anything (well-chewed and slowly, right?) and in small quantities, and you are losing! Great! I had a rough first few weeks, too. Keep that in mind as you get fills in the future. I guess you are a "sweller" and need to ease slowly back into eating after a fill. I know I do. I was super tight post-surgery as well. IV fluids saved my butt! But it sounds like you have had more difficult a time than I had. Anyhow, welcome to LBT!
-
Excellent bump. I just can't keep up with all the new posts! This is a wonderful summary.
-
Yes! Look at those smiles!!! Tell Kristen she's gorgeous! The brooding teenage sulk is never a good look, how bright and happy now!!! wow. Your girls are so precious!

Okay Jen, Lisa is LBT's Top Poster with over 5700 posts to date. So she posts here on the addicted to LBT Thread with the same questions newbies always ask about erosion and the famous "what's a PB?!" Ya right, like she's a newbie, huh? Get it? LOL She's a funny one, that DeLarla!
-
An interesting thing I noticed from our recently eroded bandster crowd...the hunger comes back! Somehow, having that band even with little to no restriction, you just aren't as hungry. Not like without the band, as they are experiencing now. That makes me appreciate my band so much more! It HELPS!!! I got so sick of being ashamed. Screw being ashamed, I was FAT!!!!!!!! No shame in getting help. I have NO regrets, even being a slow-loser, I love my band.

Yes, very good advice. And like LaMadam said, try protien for Breakfast to help your weight loss. Get off on the right foot!
-
Ahhh, just the update I was looking for! Thanks for checking in, and I'm glad you are on the healing side of things! Oh, you are about to feel soooo much better!
-
DeLarla, Kryssa and I are not in the same category as you. You do something different, something quick and witty and funny and out of the blue. You say things out of nowhere and I crack up all the time! Nope, just like this post, I simply have too many words. It takes forever just to say it, and I can't seem to spit it out in shorter form. What you have is an art form. What I got is...I dunno...words.
-
Well done, Kryssa! What are we gonna do with ourselves?! And NOW, I'm number 4 on the Top Posters List! When did that happen?!!!!!
-
Okay, NOW your band is gonna make you work. Smaller sips, smaller bites, slower eating and drinking. No more impulsive food and drink shoveling. Be careful because now your fill is working! Hang on. Watch out for potential PBs. Fills Rcok!

Yer cool Janet! So I was wrong about the cutting...60% of the stomach is removed laporoscopically. It's a pre-cursor to the switch (DS) or gastric bypass, but can be done alone. I dunno. I imagined a mesh-type sleeve around the stomach but, I guess not.
-
I'm here! I'm okay! Wanna know what's sad? I ended up on the Top Posters List...number 4. :faint: :phanvan Geez, I gotta get a life. I'm reading and keeping up with you all! And I'm still stuck at 188, 4 more pounds to goal for the 18th. so I'll have Soup with Angie, too. LOL
-
Dr Pleatman mentioned the Gastric Sleeve, which is apparently some type of, uh, sleeve, the fits over the stomach, making it smaller, or at least unable to expand as much. From what I have gathered, it does NOT require any re-routing or stapling or cutting of the digestive system. Worth investigating? Vera mentioned she would convert to that if she needed another option. I'm curious to find out more, too.

Anyone experience back pain with the band? (Please stay on topic)
the best me replied to Anthony's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Thanks for the update, Anthony. I wish you the best! Please let us know how you are doing post-surgery, and how your weight loss journey goes along the way! Good luck! -

I AM the worst plant grower! It's true! My Jade is barely getting by. I hate the stupid thing sometimes. And now I'm the worst pet owner. Dennis the Fish died the other night. He had been sick for a while, moping around his bowl, sleeping alot. Didn't look well. So I come home and he's kind of floating on the bottom of the bowl, uh oh, nope he isn't dead! He's swimming to the top! Then he floats with a thud to the bottom again. Alas, by morning, he was officially gone. I think I should get an award for long-winded, because everything I say is such a damn story with lots of words and explanations and none of it is ever really all that pertinent, but I can't stop typing! The words in my head, oh my!!! I'm working on "bottom-line" posts...sigh, I just don't know how to do that?!
