My Dad had his Warthin's Tumor removal surgery this morning and he is fine. The tumor was large and involved not one but two facial nerves. Pretty involved. He comes home tomorrow so another busy day. My Mom is happily married now, the Bible Study I had to lead last week went well and that's behind me (I was sooo Nerval!) My daughter is almost done with cheerleading. My son's 3rd birthday is next week (and my Mom's) and I could really do with getting Feb. behind me! LOL I'm sure there's more to add stress but I won't bore you all with the list... Anyhow, I'm checking in on you, even if I don't post alot...bear with me and I'll get back to bubbly ASAP!!! Please don't go Leatha. Just ignore the ugliness ( I know! I know! It's hard not to stand up for sanity and good taste!!!!) but don't post!! Lay low and pop up for the newbies who need you...and the not-so-newbies who need you even more! There are very few left that post regularly, and have the experience I lean on. I'm waaaay past the lliquid stage, and even the first fill stage, and, maybe I'm selfish, but I NEED YOU! Others do, too. I totally understand your frustration. A bunch of mess happened this same time last year (is it an annual thing?!) and we lost Darcey, ohhh, what's her name? with the long hair and the leather jacket? and Marie, and Ryan, and Greg (for the most part...he rarely posts, now) and we missed out on big visits from Blossom because she backed away before her tragedy. It's shameful. And it isn't the same here! I miss that, and it will be worse with you gone. I hope you will take a break and reconsider. (((hugs)))

I hear you. I see the pain you are in. It has nothing to do with food, with weight, with the band. It's an open, wounded heart, searching for an answer. I am hoping someone with your spiritual background will post here, because I'm a Christian and I will point you directly to Jesus. I'm afraid you will knee-jerk scoff at yet another "just eat less" answer, because maybe that's what it seems like to you (based on what I know of your spiritual background from previous posts). I can only say that Jesus is Hope. Take it or leave it, but it's the only answer I have for you. It just may not be what you want to hear. I'll give you the best I got from a sincere heart. If that's off the charts for you, I'll move along. I totally respect that. I, we, care about you and want you happy and emotionally healthy. Your cry for help is palpable. Most of us are on the other side of the world from you, but if I could give you a hug and it would make it all better, you bet I'd be there. I'll be praying, if that's okay.

Congrats on your banding DeeDee! Yep, be careful of grazing. You will end up getting in wayyy too many calories this way unless you are careful. Plan ahead. Eat solid protiens first (chicken is the best!) and then if you have room, eat other things. Keep it healthy, especially in Vegas!! Now that you are filled, you should feel a difference in your hunger and you should get fuller faster. Be careful, eat slowly and carefully until you see how this band fill will work for you. Hang in there! Congrats on the 10 pounds! Here's to more!!

I'm a warts-and-all bandster, and my slow loss shows it. Don't get me wrong, I'm proud of the 55 pounds I have managed to take off and keep off over the past 2 years, but I'm so not done! SO, I need to folow my bandster rules better, maybe get another small fill, but I'm doing what works for ME, so I won't apologize. I'm better at being me than anyone I know, and someone else wouldn't wanna be me, anyway. I DO, however, have to think through it to get to that attitude, and the "bandster sayings" will sometimes make me gag. It's just not how I'm playing this game for whatever reason, so I'm right there with you. Relating!! This is part of the "whatever reason" I'm not losing fast. Chalk me up for a vote for Loopylou as a Bandster on a Journey!!!! Yay, you!

There was the "WLS...a Spiritual Issue" thread that was titled appropriately, and the first sentence of the post was "for those with a decidedly Christian worldview", although anyone, of course, was welcome to post. I thought that thread went wonderfully well and I enjoyed it lots more than the XXX threads. And yes, I have read them, but have abstained from posting once things got past my raunchy zone. There are also plenty of posts requesting prayers, healing vibes, white lights, etc. For example, Crystal is a "white lights" girl and I'm a "prayer" girl. She sends her white lights to me, I say prayers on her behalf. Works out great. The key is respect. I try to pay attention to the preferences/beliefs/sensibilities of others. If they don't mind me praying, I will and I'll say so. But I won't pretend to send white lights. That's just out of my realm. I'll give you what I got. If you got white lights for me...I'll take 'em, and I value them! Anyhow, in my opinion, threads with adult sexual content and comments should be marked as such, and if a thread is in the wrong Forum, any moderator can move it. If a thread starts out non-sexual and turns XXX, it should be moved and marked. I do see a difference between threads with religious comments and threads with sexual innuendo. Anyone can argue with me if you want, there's so much debating going on lately, I may as well get a backbone. Hey, maybe I'll start posting references to my religious beliefs in every post...see how many people I can offend? Maybe I'll start a thread for "Christians Only" or a thread for "Bible Memory Verse Challenge". Think that could be a Sticky? Nah, that's just rabble-rousing. Yah, I'm punchy tonight. Sorry

I saw the pics today! No, I didn't buy the mag. She definately has scars like mine. She definately had some type of Lap surgery. The scars have been there for a while, they are dark and raised. Like mine are red (I'm pasty white) and raised and my scars are almost a year old. It was People magazine where she (Star) used the words "medical intervention", I think in the issue with Laci Peterson's mother on the cover.
