the best me replied to sunsett's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Maybe? Yes! Are we gathering on Sat the 15th at Ruby Tuesdays still? Or did we have too many who couldn't come? My budget is my concern. If we aren't getting together Sat, then YES! Not Monday. The other nights are great, the later the better! -
just for reference...with 2 of Bondgirl's girls (cute!) Hey julie! :wave: good job on exercise! I really need to do better in that area. :confused:

My kids had to stare at it, they weren't sure who it was. And I think it's going to post huge. Anyone...feel free to resize and repost, maybe I can C&V it? help!!!!! preggerswithRachel.BMP

Okay, I'll admit...I use the towel once. I used to use it more than once, but I really like a nice fresh clean one, and I think about how I used the old one to dry off between my butt cheeks, no matter how clean they were! and I can't...I just want a new one! LOL Hubby uses his towel 2-3 times. He'd probably use it more if I didn't change it out for him! And the wad of wet towel on the floor...grrrrrr! She's only 6. She used to be too short to hang it up herself, but she's old enough now she can hang that wet towel up. OH, and the kids definately use their towels more than once. Wow, sitting here thinking about how we do things in our house, I'm just a regular ole Towel Diva! This goes here and that goes there and this is why and that's just how it is!!!!!! So there! I'm the Momma. LOL

No secret...I joined Curves in Jan 2004 and got my starting inches from then. I wasn't banded until April 2005, over a year ago. I got my latest measurements in April 2006, for a total of 31.5 inches lost since my high weight at 242? or so. Measurements are taken from arms, bust, waist, abs, hips, thighs. So I'm a slooow loser. Just 60 pounds in 2 1/2 years. 40 of that I've lost since banding 15 months ago. Did you say there's so little of me? Would you just say that again, please?! LOL Here's a pic of me at surgery weight...220 pounds or so. Pic was taken in October 2004. THAT's where it went. It's a terrible pic of me, but my kids are cute, blue snow cone stains and all. Hey, Wheetsin, yer a Mod now, can you edit my post a make that pic a tad smaller? It's kinda big... {{{got this big pic off of Nana's thread...see my Slow Loser NSV thread for lots of before pics before I lost all those inches...}}}

Heathergurl...I'll delete this post in a bit...but the old thread is driving me nuts, too! Penni is supposed to be going through and cutting out all posts with no pics, but it got away from her and EVERYONE is commenting on that thread. I wonder if we can beg her in all humility to go in a clean it up? It's such a wonderful thread...it just needs some Mod Maintenence! I'll go back and delete any posts of mine with no pics, too. Anyone else with comments, please do the same! Whaddya think? Penni? Pluleeeeeze?!

How are you lins? If you are too tight to do hot liquids expect by the sip, I wouldn't put any type of pill down the hatch. Do what Linds said and take the Water pill ahead of time next month. Aloe Vera juice. Yeah. It helps with the burning from reflux and reduces swelling somehow.

Omg!!! I Never Thought I Would Make It! Update On Me!

Terri, all feet look gorgeous with THOSE numbers between them! Well done and Congrats! -
I get the Wal Mart Grape Crystal Light and use one little container of powder to make a gallon! It's so strong in a 2-quart pitcher, so I grab a jug of Water and refill it as needed. I also like the Peach and Raspberry Tea flavors. (I think raspberry tea is only available in the CL, not Wal-mart brand). I just like a bit of flavor in my water. I drink more of it when it's flavored. Water Sensations (I have only found it at Target but it's available online, too) is really good. I dilute it, too. It is most definately better than Diet Pepsi! And Funnyduddies soup is wonderful. I'm not doing the diet, but I keep the soup handy for Snacks and as veggies for meals...it's yummy and easy to get the veggies in when you have the soup handy. Good stuff, BPM!

1. age at banding-39 2. if they have had gall bladder surgery-nope 3. tips for avoiding reflux-don't get too tight. Avoid a too-tight band at all costs. Get an unfill. If you arent' filled, stick to liquids and soft foods, drink Aloe Vera juice regularly, and take an acid-reducing medication regularly. I answered #2 because I did have mild reflux problems early on when I was so tight in the beginning. This was pre-fill. Obviously, my band loosened a bit or I wouldn't have been filled! Otherwise, I would say I never have reflux trouble. Thinking back, I didn't have the typical reflux folks complain about with pain, difficulty sleeping, stuff coming back up at nighttime...none of that. I just had a burning esophogus that got better in days with treatment. Prilosec and Aloe Vera Juice. Don't get me wrong, it was terribly uncomfortable, but it wasn't what I read about here when folks talk about reflux. I really should have voted #1.

snowflake...we are our here! If you find your thread again, just click on "post reply" at the bottom and type away. You'll get the hang of it! This is a message board, not a chat room, so the replies stay here and don't go away when you log off. We have several Dr Rod patients here. I'm sure they will chime in soon. Welcome to LBT!
