Good call Madelines mom, a lower strength patch, or even the gum, which is nasty but you can "park" it and not chew it, or set it aside for an hour and re-chew (gross but the gum's expensive! it's worth it to get over the re-chew part) Another idea, check the ingredients in Excedrin, and make sure you can take it, but it has a kick of caffiene that can help with the headaches. Might work better for ya. You can also get a little caffiene kick with tea or coffee. That caffiene can help the headaches, just don't go too long or you'll get another headache coming off the caffiene! You CAN do this! Home: take a bath give yourself an extra 15 min getting ready and really take time on your hair and makeup pull out the kitchen appliances and clean behind them dust organize your DVDs/CDs alphabetically clean out and reorganize your linen closet clean out that cabinet above the fridge that noone ever uses cuz it's too high vacuum and use that powder smelly stuff on the carpets...Carpet Fresh! wipe out all the window sills re-pot the plants write a letter to your mom/sister/brother/friend or all of them! check your e-mail and log on to LBT

    Exercised at Curves tonight!

Big T, for home, I prefer free weights, they don't take up as much room and I only need three sets to get my workout. The advantage to hydraulic is, yes, the push and pull, you are working both ways, but with the hydraulic, the faster you push and pull, the harder the resisitance. You can vary your intensity very easily. I would definately demo one in person before purchasing, but I do like what they have at Curves...for women only...but I'd let you in after hours if I owned it! Ha. Good luck.

Moderator and Privacy Issues on LBT

Well, well, well...now don't I feel a bit foolish now for responding to poor Bigchix...hook, line, and sinker? I'm upset, not because someone got one (or two) over on me. Heck, I still don't know for sure if Bigchix was real, but I don't mind feeling foolish for attempting to be kind and helpful. You can hate me for being naive, but not unkind. Here is what makes me upset. I respond to Bigchix, others in the know DON'T PM ME and give me the scoop, and now it appears as though I am in the middle of this fiasco, egging it on. So am I a newbie, not to be trusted? I can't tell you how the thought of people PMing one another about me being some kind of newbie plant makes me cringe. It's specualtion, I can't prove it, but noone was talking with me, so I'd bet the cost of my surgery next month that whatever LBT Club that has been created here by this mess had discussions with my name in it. THAT I don't like. That is what spoils it. Let me just say for the record that I had nothing to do with whatever was going on with BigChix. Innocent Sucker, here. If I am going to make this Band work for me, I need LBT. There is too much info, support and encouragement here for me to give it up. It's just that what I have to offer is suspect. It bothers me, but I can live with it. Thank You Alex B. for your time and attention. LBT will be back to normal, I know it, and I trust your judgement on taking care of the difficulties swiftly and justly.

    Exercised at Curves tonight!

Curves is a 30 minute workout, you hop on to the circuit anywhere and listen to the music playing constantly (but it's good music). Every 30 seconds, a voice will say, "change stations now" and you move to the next station. When you go around 2 or 3 times (depending on the club and the number of machines) you have worked out 30 minutes and it's easy, fun, but a good workout! It's set up in a circle, you have 8-10 or so machines that works with hydraulics, so the faster you move the machine (eg: pushing and pulling handlebars overhead and down to your shoulders) the harder it is to push and pull. You do that for 30 secs, then move to a recovery pad where you march for 30 secs, then move to a lower body machine...round and round. You work out all the major muscle groups with the strangth training and the pace is good cardio, they also have you check your heart rate every 10 min or so. I loved it there but they didn't have child care and I needed more aerobics/cardio anyway, I wasn't doing it at home...but it was a great start for me. Youv'e got a great circuit at home, good for you! If i had to wrok out at home, I'd have to hire a trainer. I just can't motivate myself at home. I'm too distracted by the computer...LBT is a great escape!

    April 2005 Bandsters

Yes, I wrote a post that went way down the New Post list in like, an hour, what with all the recent melee. Oh well! TrishS should be coming to the list soon, and I'm sure as March marches by, more will get scheduled. Just 6 more weeks for me! Yippee!

    Favorite Grandparent Memories

Yeah Whip, did your grandmother REALLY try to slash your throat?! Please, do tell! And wow on your grandfathers, a Blackfoot Indian and a whole new family! What a neat story about John Webster. That is really a blessing, I'm so glad he knocked on your door. You know, 1322 is a very long time ago...that's back past the Dark Ages, that's alot of history! I'm blown away by that! Hey, what's megwitch, did you cast a spell?

Whew! I, for one, am certainly relieved for you! (Good Job, Alex!) Ya, your body is holding on to every little thing, it's in starvation mode, it's freaking out, thinking you'll never feed it again, it won't let go! I don't know what, exactly, to suggest you eat but definately bump up the calories. Then watch...my bet is you drop another 10! Don't worry yet! Your'e doing great! Hey, did you ever tell your mom/mum? Point me to the right thread if I missed it...

Whew! I like Red for the reason stated above. Laissez faire. Or my business or my church or my child-rearing or my charity work or anything that happens in my home or my car that isn't illegal (probably where we part, you having Libertarian tendencies! Haha!) Anyhow, did I say Red or Blue then drop it? This could get SO Off Topic! Let's stop now, lol. Way to go Tinkerbell! I hear ya!

    Im Approved!!

Okay, I'm a little bummed we won't be back to back, but happy for you!!! It felt so good to have an actual date, and now, for me, it's just 6 weeks away! And 9 for you...time will fly! I keep putting off purchasing my plane tickets...when I was shopping for dates in Feb (back when I was just wondering and adding up the costs) tickets to San Diego were around $300. Now that I'm going around Spring Break time, they are almost $600. And now I'm buying two tickets, since my sis is going with me. Getting pricey! Okay, so who's your doctor and where are you going? You need to add this info to your signature! Make it official!

Hmmm, why is Howards End not sounding right? editing again...Okay, Howards End does indeed star both Anthony Hopkins and Emma Thompson, however, the movie I am thinking of is called "The Remains of the Day" YES! Hey, thanks Penni, you are a dream!

Anyone think of the Anthony Hopkins/Debra Winger movie name? It's driving me nuts! There's another Anthony Hopkins movie where he plays a butler, with Emma Thompson. Great movie, and I love period pieces also, Alex. LOVED Sixth Sense, haven't seen Village but I will...don't spoil the ending! Weirdest? The Piano, Holly Hunter was amazing. Oh, and Gilbert Grape...yes, I'm always watching how actors portray people with Mental Retardation, especailly, since I have experience (in my past life) working with lots of different folks with developmental disabilities. And yes, Leo was right ON that one. Very well done. Also, Dustin Hoffman, Rainman, well done. Oh! and what's his name in The Awakening with Robin Williams, he did a great job. Not so good job playing MR? Was it Juiliette Lewis? in The Other Sister...I thought her speech capabilities didn't match her apparent cognitive skills...it just didn't jive well for me. The Baby Boom. Titanic. Good Will Hunting. The best southern accent? IMHO, being Southern with no accent (?) Natasha Richardson in Nell. She NAILED it! This is fun! Good thread, Trish! I'm reminded of so many movies I need to purchase. Hey, how can I purchase all the Disney movies? you know, Snow White, Cinderella, Bambi, sleeping Beauty, etc. Is my best bet e-bay?

Does everyone have a great story?

If you are nursing, shouldn't you be supplementing your calories? I'm not banded, nor am I pregnant or nursing (whew!) but it seems like now is not the time to be watching calories, and if you are only eating 3 times a day...well, you are probably hungry because you are nursing! I just scrolled up and saw your son is 15 months, so he is obviously getting other foods than breast milk, so this is good, but still, you are lactating! Hmmm. Don't worry, Band-Pro advice will start rolling in soon, but I'd think you should add in a small Protein drink or something to get you through, simply because you are lactating. Would you agree or have you been advised otherwise by your OBGyn or Lactation Consultant? I am very interested in what others say...and I have hijacked this thread, maybe we should start a new one..."Lactating Bandsters" He!
