Don't panic or be discouraged, I have heard of this plenty and the fatty liver is typical in obese people and it is good to shrink it before the Dr wiggles around in there with sharp instruments. 20kg is around 44lbs, which is a pretty good amount, does your Dr expect you to do this before 4/29, your band date? That is a solid 6 weeks away...you can do anything for 6 weeks and you will do fine. Cuts the carbs and the fat, do lots of veggies and lean Proteins, LOTS of Water and go to FitDay.com and put in your food, so you will see what you are eating. You CAN do this! I have been looking for you on the April 2005 Bandsters thread under the Support Forum. Come say hello there. We have almost a dozen getting banded in April! woohoo! Keep us posted, Jan! Editing: Ooops! You are to lose 10kg, not 20 so that is around 22 lbs in 6 weeks to Band Date...aw, man, you can really do this, Jan! No problem!

Yeah man, this will be very handy...maybe you said this, but the post with the link, could they link to existing threads already out there...eg: PBing, ticker thingys, etc. or would the post only link to posts within the newbie thread? Hmmm, I don't think I have noticed that anyone has seen Rumbaut in France, you were the one I remembered saying something about that...but the Rumbaout folks should pop up here soon. I know you have been searching the threads, maybe you could PM or e-mail some folks you run across who have Rumbaut listed. If they aren't logging on everyday they might miss your post here...What does Ren or her nurse say about the facililites in France, Monterrey, or Rumbaut for that matter? Also, find out the name of the hospital in Monterrey and see if any other MX Drs do surgery there...those patients could give you info about the facility. ??? Just a thought.

You can do this...increase your water intake, too, if you haven't already. Maybe cut the pastas and switch to soft proteins, cottage cheese, yogurt, etc. This is just basic diet stuff, not band advice...I can't go there yet...but you will look at the scale one day and, BOOM, you will be headed down...
